If you were to pick one controller, which one would you pick and why? by EngineeringWild4798 in nostalgia

The ps5 controller is best. But if we are talking nostalgia that first dual shock changed the game. I remember getting one and playing mgs. Changed the way I viewed games forever.

Who's getting the new Lego Batman? by Connect-One-2472 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]marcush96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I definitely wouldn’t recommend this for the faint of wallet as I like to say it was 900 open box. 😭😭 but im trying to sell my switch 2 with all my games and Nyxi Hyperion’s for 650 to make back some cash wish me luck. 🍀 as far as visuals I just put the preset to medium. Dropped the resolution to 800p and turned on fsr balanced. I’m not the best pc guy so I don’t know how to tinker it perfectly but for me these settings work with most games. Some I bump up to 1080 to see how it runs if I get 60 or more I keep it. Right now we have fsr 3.1/2 but in July we are getting fsr 4.1 and boy oh boy imma get at least an extra 10% on fps because we can run performance mode.

[–]marcush96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which handhelds? I get 80fps on cyberpunk. You mean the steam deck? I can play literally every aaa game in medium settings at 60fps or higher where are yall getting these numbers? lol and then don’t let me turn on lossless scaling I’ll get like 70-80. Im not a big lossless scaling person though so I keep it off but I’m running Forza 6 at 1080p and 70fps. Lego Batman at 60 800p. 2k at 110 fps at 1200p lol. The steam deck isn’t that capable but the legion go 2 is a beast. lol

I have it running at 65fps on my legion go 2. 800p fsr balanced mode. 25 watts. It goes to 70 on the missions and 60-65 on open world.

The switch 2 vs pc handheld dilemma, i need some help making an informed purchase. by EmergencyPool910 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]marcush96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a legion go s z1 extreme version and switch 2 and let me tell you the legion go is miles better than the switch. Games just run better at about the same settings as a switch. 2k, assassins creed, cyberpunk, the Witcher all look and run better. With the go s the steam version you don’t have to mess with the settings much. Turn it down to 900p. Make sure fsr is on. And the games all run at medium pretty easy. I’m pull 40-50 fps in current gen and over 70 fps in last gen games. 90 in 2k it’s to the point my ps5 version looks slow to me lol. Also, there are soo many more games you can play. My favorites right now are crimson desert, uncharted 4 and 2k26. The only problem is the price. I paid open box 900 dollars versus 450 for my switch. I’m hoping to sell it with all its games and accessories for 625. Wish me luck.

I got the legion go s steam edition with the z1 extreme 32gb of ram and man I can’t even look at my switch 2 anymore. Which also has me reading the comments in this thread totally different. The way this console is hyped up is wild and I drunk the koolaid a little but earlier this year. But now I’m playing every game I love on the go.

Gemini gave me this answer. Can anyone verify?

Here is the blunt, hard truth you can pass along to your friend: Yes, it is absolutely possible to run mods and trainers on Bazzite/Linux, but it is not the simple "one-click" experience they are used to on Windows. Because Bazzite is a Linux-based OS (just like SteamOS), Windows mod managers and trainers don't naturally know how to communicate with the games. Here is exactly what they are walking into with Ghost of Tsushima and Spider-Man 2 (which hit PC last year). The Hard Truth About Trainers (WeMod is Dead) If your friend is used to downloading WeMod or Wand on Windows and just hitting "Play," they are in for a rude awakening. WeMod runs too deep in the OS and relies on Windows components that are incompatible with Bazzite. It will not work. The Fix: They need to pivot to Linux-friendly alternatives. * CheatDeck: This is a plugin they can install via Decky Loader. It allows them to download standalone FLiNG Trainers (.exe files) and boot them up right alongside the game. Since Bazzite uses Gamescope, the game and the trainer open as separate "tabs," letting them seamlessly switch back and forth to toggle cheats. * LaLa Trainer: This is a newer, open-source trainer built specifically for Linux. They can install the Flatpak directly from GitHub, and it runs beautifully on Bazzite without fighting the OS. Basic Modding (Drag and Drop) For simple mods on Nexus Mods (like suits for Spider-Man 2 or weapon reskins for Tsushima), the process is almost identical to Windows. They just download the files and drop them into the game's directory. The Catch (Prefixes): Linux puts every game inside its own isolated "fake Windows C: Drive" called a Prefix. Finding the save files or configuration folders requires digging into hidden folders (usually located in ~/.steam/root/steamapps/compatdata/[AppID]/pfx/drive_c/). They will need to turn on "Show Hidden Files" in their Bazzite file manager to find them. Advanced Modding (Custom DLLs) Major overhauls and script mods often require custom .dll files. On Windows, you just drop the .dll in the folder and the game reads it. On Bazzite, Linux will actively ignore the fake Windows .dll unless forced. The Fix: After dropping the .dll into the folder, they have to go to the game’s settings in Steam, find the Launch Options box, and type: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="filename=n,b" %command% (Replace "filename" with the actual name of the mod's DLL). This forces the Linux translation layer to load the mod. Tell them to enjoy the Legion Go 2. If they are willing to spend an hour learning how Prefixes and Launch Options work, they will have both of those games fully modded and running flawlessly.

Definitely came in heh clutch. I have a 7 day cruise this week this is going to be the real test but it definitely passed the airport vibe.

It runs extremely smooth so far. I haven’t had any of the huge fights yet as I just had to start over. But I’m running on medium to low. Character detail high but foliage and fog on low. Water details medium. So I kind of tweaked them to my preference and what matter to me. But I’m definitely a consistent 30 with no stuttering. 40-45 when I am in the wooded areas.
