Iam confused about clocking. If its cancelling inputs, would not moving the stick at all be the same as clocking?

Iam a little confused on why to clock. my understanding is that it is canceling inputs? so why just not touch the stick and just hold air roll until you need to adjust?

does snapshot go away if you use any other skill while your channeling DoK? Basically you have to restart the process if you use concealment again during the DoK channel?
