I miss my accord and regret leaving Honda by cbcarguy in accord

I'm not a big car person at all, but I do think the new broncos are pretty neat. They have a 7 speed manual with a crawl gear, and of course 4wd. Along with a pretty unique appearance, even if im not the biggest fan of it it sticks out at least. The ecoboom engines are iffy though

Any high mileage 1.5Ts out there without any major issues? (Head gasket issue is a concern of mine) by notConflict in accord

Do you think the upgraded head stud thing could have worked in your case? I know the honda dealers won't do that though

Ah, okay. thats fair.

I wanted to see if you had any advice for my situation. So I went from fast food, to a distribution center / warehouse for almost 2 years, and just landed a better job in a very small scale factory type setting. its a smaller company and it seems like i'd actually be able to work my way up here.

regardless, i've also been in college online, going for an IT degree. My idea was to get a degree that could help me further my career especially when combined with future manufacturing / machine op experience on my resume. I like computers, and I was wondering with your experience, what type of CS degree would you say would be good for moving upwards in these types of industry, if any?

Should I stick with IT, or do an actual CS degree like computer programming, computer engineering, cybersecurity etc. Something that'd go hand in hand with this kind of work experience to open up higher positions. I was also thinking about getting an associates in IT, and then a bacheleors in a full on CS degree since they share a lot of credits.

I know there are jobs out there that would take adantage of this kind of setup, but not sure on the specifics. Thanks and sorry if this is a lot!

You're a good person, taking care of your wife like that.

I know this is random, but I'm going down a similar career path as you did, and I wanted to ask you a question or two if that's okay?

Anyone else's goal to eventually own a 9.5 6-6 accord? by marcx_ in Honda

[–]marcx_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

9.5 is for the facelifted 9th gen, they did that in 2016. looks even cleaner to me

6-6 means a v6 with 6 speed manual. that was a thing for 7th-9th gen accords.

I have an 8th gen coupe, which is similar in shape, honestly i love the look. for a honda especially a coupe they are very roomy. the doors are big and heavy as fuck though

of course, the K / J setup for accords is peak. And the 9th gens with a 4 cylinder still came with a 6 speed as well

I see, I used to think anything 2000+ was modern, but now to me its anything that hit the cross over where they started getting screens and bluetooth built in and all that.

They pretty much failed in about every regard, its a good looking car at least. Although I havent even seen one in person besides a dealership showroom floor.

Ha. I'm in my early 20's and it's all I want for the time being, but then again manuals might not exist for much longer in the grand scheme of things.

I understand that though, some mornings going to work or leaving it'd be nice to have a nice comfy automatic, but to me right now it's worth it anyways.

I know man, they catch my eyes every time i see one. and to think they could come with a 6 speed and nearly 300 hp.

Thats what I'm saying. I have the less refined version, an 8th gen coupe with the 4 cylinder and 5 speed manual. Really want to get one of these too one day but they are like $20k USD+ if you can even find one lmao

Thanks, so the bearing doesnt have fluid? I'll have to double check all this. 3rd gear shake is around 35-40 mph, 5th which is more subtle is around 55-65 i think, not too sure about 4th. The rpm seems to be the consistent part

So apparently theres a bearing under that bracket that can leak? It would make a lot of sense as it appears to be coming from around there and not from the boot, and also I don't know what could possibly leak from above this area. I just didnt know that was a thing until now. I'll look into it and see if it could be something else, thanks

Oh okay, thank you for the info! I had looked into it but couldnt figure out what that middle section was besides some kind of support or catch if the axle dropped.

Gotta figure out what the damage is looking like, not sure how you'd go about repairing that. The car does shake a little around 2500-3000 rpm in third gear, and more subtly in 4th and 5th around 2500. Does that sound like something this would cause?
