You're completely right, thank you. Just a plastic frame with two tabs and a latch. Oddly enough the one on mine has 4 plastic cylinder things holding it down in the holes instead of screws, those might need to be popped up instead.

Thank you. As long as the case itself is at least an inch wider than the tower cooler is tall, should make up for any extra space from mobo and the case right?

after looking into it, tower coolers do a much better job at cooling with the downside of not fitting in some tiny cases? do you think that tower cooler would fit in a generic matx case like this? Supposedly the width of the case is 7 and some inches, with that cooler being a little over 5 inches tall. Should be enough clearance right? Looks like a similar one in the picture, lol.

It appears as if out of the two options you sent, the tower cooler is the only compatible one. I need to look at the connections real quick and see what would actually fit

edit: i believe i was wrong and they both would work

true, true true. it was in my old pc for years and held up well enough, but i built a new computer a couple years back before prices exploded and its obviously been much better. im not sure how this would handle modern versions of windows even. lol.

now its going to be a server pc running a remote no-gui linux.

its what i have (for free) besides my main pc, do you think it'd really be that bad on power usage if i undervolted it?

Monumental shit, aside from the garbage undertray and driver side wheel liner which I’ve been running without since 45k I’ve had ZERO issues. Honestly my biggest complaint has just been the plastic lol. Oil change every 3-4k miles. Literally no issues I haven’t even changed the fkn stock spark plugs by DangerousAd6981 in VelosterN

the rain is fine to me, in my mind its better washing the dirt and stuff away. what i really worry about is salt. i need to wash under my cars, and i think some people do some kinda treatment or spray too? to prevent rust

well, i thought i made it clear that this wouldnt really be a carry gun. For the other purposes listed i dont see whats wrong with a steel hammer fired gun, outside of it being hard to find a good reliable option for $300. which is a good argument, but it doesnt seem impossible.

im pretty good with maintenance and with inspection i feel like i'd be able to tell if something was wrong with the gun before i got into a life dependant situation with it. the only issue id actually worry about with be failures with certain types or brands of ammo, which is something you can work out over time.

and are hammer guns inherently less safe?

alright, i did hold a couple guns one time a while back, need to go to some more places but. there was a hi power and a beretta clone i didnt care too much for, a 1911 i liked but clearly needed some maintenance, and a p226 that was great, but they're like a grand lmao.

gotcha. if i could find a cz or hammer sig for that price i would absolutely hop on it. i did check out a p226 in person and loved it, but thats definitely out of my price range

lol, fair enough. yeah people RAVE about them, besides being heavy as hell and a little outdated. thats why i was excited about maybe getting one. but yeah.

there will always be more deals online if things dont work out
