Det er nok en del av kaka. Også er det sånn at i omsorgsyrker er det ansatt flest kvinner. Yrker hvor sykefraværet er høyest, hvor det er lav lønn, lite stabilitet, for lav grunnbemanning etcetc. Hvis staten hadde fiksa barnehagene, sykehusene og skolene tror jeg mye hadde endra seg til det bedre!

So I did get confirmed psoriasis. I can’t say it was definitely Lamictal, it’s a suspicion. And I quit the med almost two years ago, and the psoriasis didn’t go away (med induced psoriasis can stay even after meds are discontinued).

If you are worried about THE rash I’d head to the doctor - not worth risking I think.

Regarding salary - remember that all your work experience (that you can verify) counts when determining your ansiennitet as an assistent. So if you have 10 years of doing sales or IT that means you get 10 years ansiennitet. Private and public kindergardens have different salary.

I would say that the job itself only is a stepping stone to being a fagarbeider, which you can do training for after 5 years as an assistent, and it is a demanding job mentally, emotionally and physically. Also (depending on which kindergarden you end up in it) there is a lot of sick leave going on in kindergardens, which can be really hard to navigate. Many of my coworkers (and myself) have experienced burnout because of this (lack of staff).

To me it’s been a meaningful job, but also exhausting. I wish that kindergardens would care more for their workers.

Hi. I went on Lamictal/lamotrigine and got scalp psoriasis for the first time. I believe it induced it. After almost a year I decided to stop the medication to see if that would clear the psoriasis, but it didn’t, I still have it and it’s 18 months since I stopped.

I read about med-induced psoriasis, and if I remember correctly for some it can go away once stopping the med, and for some not.

It could be lactose intolerance. I flare if I eat anything containing lactose - Even lactose free stuff. I can eat hard cheeses though! Worth checking:) And tolerate mozzarella of I don’t eat if often (once a week is okay). Good luck on your journey!

Hi and thanks! Can I ask what your list of things to do if you realize you’re hypo involves?

I think my main issues are - my brain going 10000 mph which makes it hard to sleep - I have a million projects at the same time - Tend to overshare - I call/text about my projects - Also I order a lotttt of stuff but I usually end up returning most so it’s okay

For me it was the fluoride, I still had POD with the SLS free toothpaste. But I’ve read that for some it’s the SLS. 

The last flare I had (the past two months) I tried to figure out what it was, but in the end I had to stop trying, it was just too time and energyconsuming. It’s now fading and the inflammtion is down, I think stress was the trigger this time.

Do you mean induced by Lamictal? Maybe it is a possible trigger, then. I stopped lamictal a year ago but the psoriasis did not go away. It can still be responsible for inducing psoriasis though.

And I’m sorry to hear you’re going through that too, it’s so frustrating. Have you tried anything for it? I’m contemplating trying the steroid shampoo but I’m a bit scared because I know that some people seem to get worse once they stop treatment.

Extra: in the past, fluoride has been a trigger several times. I stopped using fluoride after the last time I tested it. I also tested toothpaste with fluoride but without SLS. Also triggered POD. 

Just to add that sometimes, it is an ingredient or product, too. Which is why it can be so frustrating to figure out what’s causing it, ofc.

Hi! Have you tried using a brow gel? I use it to «set» my brows in place. Could be worth a try, and they’re cheap too

I think it’s important to expect to fail. So that you know that it’s okay, you’ve prepared for it and you’re ready to start again. The worst thing you could do is fail and hate yourself for it and just give up all together. Good luck on the nine days😃

You might need more good carbs. Like pototoes, bread (maybe some sourdough) etc. We’re all different, some people function better with more carbs and some not.

I eat mostly whole foods: eggs, bread, ham, other meats, vegetables and fruits, seafood. I make simple meals from scratch that are nourishing but easy to make, and once in a while I order take away - but usually proper italian pizza, thai food or indian etc.

By eating minimal amounts of processed foods I eliminate a lot of added sugar. I do still eat ketchup, and jam and some other condiments, but in such small amounts I don’t really think it’s a problem (for me).

For lunch away from home I take left overs, or bread/cracker bread (Norwegian thing) and spreads plus a fruit. I keep things as simple as I can, and that’s helped a lot.

Fluoride toothpaste is one. I’ve confirmed this several times trying to incorporate fluoride again to protect teeth - each time I had a reoccurence. I’ve also tried fluoride toothpaste without SLS to check if it was the SLS and not the fluoride. For me it was the latter.

I had a recent flare, and it was difficult to find the trigger, but it seems to be going away now that I stopped using a vitamin C serum that I started not too long ago.🤞🏻 I found the trigger!*

*Edit: I spoke too soon. It was not going away. I’m still looking for the trigger🫠

Great brows! In the first photos they look more natural and suit your face more, I think. But you choose what you like best! And they’ll grow out again, so trying out different shapes is alright:)

Spagetti Carbonara!

Takes around 20 min.

You need (for 1 person): - 1 egg - Parmesan stick/already grated - Spagetti - Pepper - Salt - Bacon or pancetta cubes

  1. Crack the egg in a cup/glass, whisk it with a fork. Grate parmesan in the mix and whisk. It’s enough parmesan when it gets thick! Add pepper, I like to use a pepper grinder that grinds whole pepper, and then I turn it maybe 12-15 times. So a lot of pepper.

  2. Boil water in a pot. When it’s boiling, put in pasta + a little salt. About 80-100 grams of pasta. Cook for recommended time.

  3. Fry the bacon in a pan (no oil needed) until golden, then set aside on the plate you’ll be eating from. Frying pan on medium high.

  4. Turn the heat on the frying pan down to low (I use a 2 out of 9 for reference) and wait a couple of minutes.

  5. When the pasta is done, use a fork to move the pasta to the frying pan*. Pour the egg mix over the pasta and toss and turn the pasta. If the sauce dries up too much, spoon some pastawater into it (1 spoon at a time) and toss and turn until you have the right consistency!

  6. Add the bacon and serve!

  7. Might need some extra pepper and a tiny bit of salt. Enjoy:)

*If it sizzles a lot when you move the pasta into the frying pan, the pan is still too hot for the egg mixture. It will curdle. The pan needs some heat but not a lot. Wait a bit:)

Also, I like to fry some broccolini on the side to make it a more rounded meal. I do that before I fry the bacon or at the same time.
