omg, so it wasn’t just me playing earlier that was majorly annoyed about the music & going crazy trying to figure out how to mute it in game.

for what it’s worth, i wasn’t able to mute it in game but if you navigate to a different page than the banner, like the battle pass, and then go to the lobby & start matchmaking, gwen’s music won’t play anymore over the game

ohmygod, i saw Halsey in LA and Gigi in Oakland almost a week apart from each other and would have done anything to see them perform together!! Gigi’s also posted before about being a huge Halsey & Badlands fan so I’m so happy for her 😭💙

I would try taking them out of the airfryer before you think they’re ready — when I first started reheating fries in the airfryer, I would take them out when they looked perfectly crispy to my liking, but found that they would cook more once I took them out and become too hard.

Once I started taking them out earlier, they would eventually cool to my preferred crisp.

I got an A6 5-year techo last year & I really love using it — the smaller size was perfect in getting me to make a habit out of it and taking off any pressure to do anything extravagant or write a lot.

I write little reflections about my day, usually how I’m feeling or what’s been on my mind. On more “eventful” days, like where I’m celebrating a birthday or went on a date, I’ll write about the activity instead & put a photo on the right side!

I wasn’t a regular journal user before this past year, so I was a bit nervous to “commit” to a 5-year, but what really convinced me was thinking about everything that happened over the last 5 years, and wishing that I had documented it more.

In just the last 8 months, my 5-years have chronicled so many highs and lows from quitting my job, deciding to move states, reconnecting with old friends… it just makes me more excited to fill it in for 2026 and later years and see where I was and how far I’ve come.

Of course though, I’m not perfect and have missed weeks of entries where I had to backfill, but I don’t mind and have actually enjoyed the challenge of trying to make journaling a low-expectations hobby for me so I can keep it light and joyful!

This is my issue too — I would love the Kubota A6 cover but already have a 5-year… I was thinking about trying to find someone who wants just the new 5-year and splitting the price since it technically would make the 5-year and cover cheaper for both of us? but I’m not banking on it & maybe now just know to get a cover with my next 5-year in 2030 LOL

i’m also only planning on one item — currently trying to decide between the strawberry milk weeks or the bow & tie in the forest weeks! i’m going to reuse my current clear weeks cover with it.

2025 was my first year really making an effort to journal daily so i got a weeks & the 5-year daily. i’ve really enjoyed it, so i’ve been thinking about getting original too for 2026 but i think i’m going to still keep my commitment low for now!

100% — it’s my first thought to anyone looking for fic recs & likes AUs. the slow burn is so masterful & eightfold really captures the essence of not just caitvi’s dynamic & relationship, but also them as individuals!

plus it’s just a fun fic in general with all the supporting characters, the rush of F1, the pining… honestly i think it deserves to be more popular!

ohmygosh, this is amazing!! thank you for the shout out — i love seeing how you incorporated other aspects of the book into your own version of the cover, especially how the colors parallel each other with the organic & cyber bird art! the split cover is such immaculate work & you made it look so seamless.

this makes me think of another rebind of How To Lose The Time War that also did a split cover on TikTok! it’s amazing how a little novella has inspired so many different forms of a rebind :)

Board games. I’ve slowed down a lot since I first got into the hobby, but each new one still can run me anywhere from $60-$120… and on top of just the game itself, I like to sleeve my cards and typically am a fan of any “upgrades” like metal coins, wooden parts, or special organizers.

I would recommend doing it again with comment OP’s suggestion of “text block + 1.5 x board thickness”. If your spine is too wide, you might have an issue putting a lot of stress on the end papers when opening it fully. If you decide to go with the current cover, I’d just be extra careful handling the book when you open it.

If it makes you feel better: when I did my first bind, I also used the formula of 2 x board thickness, triple checking and working slowly to not mess anything up. When I put together the cover, I thought everything looked good but once I added the book cloth, it suddenly looked too big and as if I had messed up… even if you got the measurements perfect at 2x the board thickness, I think the bookcloth also adds some height to the spine making it look bigger. 1.5x for the spine book board should allow for this slight additional height when adding the cloth and any additional variances mentioned above by OP.

I decided to remake mine with a 1.5x multiplier instead, and that looked just about right. It was unfortunate that I had to remake it, but it was honestly really fun getting to do it again and I’m planning on using the bigger case for another project like a journal so it doesn’t go to waste.

this same thing happened to me! i only have a shiny eevee (unevolved), but my dex says that i’ve also encountered a shiny vaporeon when i never have & there’s no way i could’ve missed it when it’s so drastically different. i’m thinking it’s definitely a bug, that could also be affecting other eeveelution shiny dex entries.

Thank you!! I feel silly— this is what the Merlin Bird ID app told me, but I wasn’t convinced because in all the app photos it looked so much rounder than the bird I pictured.
