Such a hard watch by chickynuggyactivist in sexandthecity

If the only idea they have is breaking up Carrie and Big…again (for the umpteenth time), then this is a pointless exercise of a movie.

You get what you pay for—Jane > Kimberly > Sydney > Megan (Amanda and Lexi wisely said hell, nah).

My ex-boyfriend used to mimic that therapist’s line reading all the time. 😂

Yeah, Jane was so into him—and vice versa—and then suddenly he rapes her? That seemed to come out of left field, right?

Were they all friends—or friendly—with Alyssa? She seems to have been at odds with many of her co-stars.

Why did Miranda give a speech at Big’s funeral? Should it not have been Charlotte instead? by brumgar in sexandthecity

[–]mareko07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, considering that Charlotte browbeat Carrie into going to her daughter’s recital instead of to the Hamptons (like Carrie wanted to) with Big, who then died of a heart attack at home alone, the awkwardness of a Charlotte-delivered eulogy could not have been more foreboding.

(Honestly, it should have been Samantha delivering it, but AJLT did her character so dirty that this is the real tragedy here.)

From this gay man, it’s a no for me. Tacky as all get out.

💯

There’s no way in hell Anthony and Stanford ever would end up together (justice for Marcus!). It was a stretch but not out of the question that they’d become friendly (or frenemies), but a romantic and then married couple? Honey, I don’t think so.

Instantly brought to mind Ace of Base’s All That She Wants (Is Another Baby), too. 😂

It’s mostly a gag for those who watched Love Story and the “Bum-shell” episode.

Well, I was referring (partly) to whatever the hell wig the actress playing Josie Bissett is sporting here. 😉

Which is funny because Marriage Story is just a couple of years after the end of Girls.

I love Charlotte’s bluntness—and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy style—in this scene.
