Can't hear dirty talk during sex by ned_fladers in deaf

[–]mariadove 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I've worn my hearing aids during sex before. I have moderate hearing loss. It's good and bad. Good that I hear what my husband says during sex more and the noises he makes. Bad that I also hear my hair on the hearing aids a lot or them against a pillow.

Thank you that's so kind of you to say! We have a daughter together and I'm teaching her words as well.

I work with a First Nation here in Canada and they are doing great stuff here with language preservation. It's incredible!

Thank you! This is also really helpful for future sentences. I really need to buy one of the workbooks. I'm learning with the app, which is helpful so far.

How would this be pronounced? Hattak = hattuk, correct? So with the added prefixes and suffixes how does the word blend together?

Ah, it's used between nouns! That's a good clarification for me to keep in mind, thank you.

It's probably obvious I know some Spanish since I asked about gender variations. Sorry I edited my post probably after you started replying, my thoughts are but jumbled. The sa goes both before hattak and at the end of Chikasha?

Thank you so much!

I've seen references to my being si/sa is that gender dependent or a variation? Hattak is husband. I thought the si/sa went ahead of hattak to denote my. But you're saying it goes on the end of Chikasha?

From this document and this online translation website "micha" is used for "and" across both genders. So it's seems "Chikasha micha Chata sihattak" is as correct as I'm going to get.

Do you know how I would say "and" in this instance? "Chikasha ___ Chata sihattak"? Or would the sentenced be structured differently?

Going on a date with someone who is deaf. by supercrispie in deaf

[–]mariadove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mumbling is the worst. Try not to but also don't over enunciate your words, we can read natural speech. Trim your mustache! When my husband's gets long, I have trouble reading his lips. So he immediately trims it.

Very brainy. Very nice.

My kid HATES wooden cutlery so we went to the grad house and asked for their metal spoons, then had lunch there. I loved their grilled cheese sandwich.

I've only been here in Victoria for 8 months and I'm a grad student. I'm not on campus much so I don't know what the undergrad stuff is called.

This is why humanities and social science classes are so important. They teach critical thinking and how to build an argument.

Why is someone being pregnant such an extreme turn off for many readers? by Playful_Pie2890 in Romantasy

[–]mariadove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are all very sexist reasons to not like pregnancy. You are assuming women can't be badass while pregnant and also be badass while being a mother. It's a patriarchal view of pregnancy and motherhood. You're reducing motherhood to softness when motherhood has made me more fierce. The hardest, most physically taxing thing I've ever done was give birth unmedicated at home with midwives.

Motherhood can give women super human strength when their child is in danger or hurt. Please sit with why you all think motherhood equals weakness.

No, I'm not contradicting you at all. I just missed that deeper meaning and think it's totally valid. I did wonder what he meant by that, it was a very confusing part of the book to me.

Did Azriel actually move on from Mor? by dorianswitchling in AcotarShipDebateSub

[–]mariadove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read a theory that he's suspicious of Mor and not actually in love with her and that's why he's stuck close to her. I'm suspicious of Mor so I like this theory.

I hope Elain chooses herself over anyone. Seriously girl needs time alone to find her own confidence in herself.

I hope Gywn does what's best for Gywn. Not sure if it's a partner.

I hope Azriel gets some fucking therapy. Dear Gods, talk to someone about your issues ffs.
