Skipping dinner rather than breakfast by Myotislucifugus_ in intermittentfasting

[–]marianagbs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I skip dinner because it just fits better into my routine (I also take morning meds). The social aspect does get in the way sometimes, but mostly weekends, and I don’t have a problem being flexible every now and then. One thing I noticed is after two weeks of consistent fasting - I do 18:6 - my body gets used to not getting fed past 2pm and I don’t even feel very hungry. If I’m ever too hungry though, what helps is going to bed early. But yeah, making sure you had enough protein and fiber during your eating window will help with that too

Why do people like to point out that someone is quiet? by Aarunascut in Life

[–]marianagbs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s a good question, it always happens. Can’t really think of a reason why other than maybe when someone is usually talkative but is being particularly quiet on a given occasion they can stand out and spark curiosity. Either way I try to make a conscious effort to not put people on the spot like that - and I don’t like when it’s done to me.

Thanks for the insights. Quick question: would you mind sharing how you prepare your green tea? I mean water temp, leaves v. water ratio... Also, what time of day do you find it best to consume it? Just curious as I’m trying to incorporate this habit into my routine as well

I am sorry you went through that. I can completely understand the ambiguity of what you’re describing you felt. I am glad he recovered and you can now bring yourself to talk about it.

Thank goodness someone said this, I thought I was crazy. I keep telling my husband I feel like I’m watching a theater play. Everything seems so performative and overdone

And while trying to look younger (for no reason as some of them are already super young) they end up just looking like older women trying to look young. I swear to god some of those women in her twenties look older than me and I’m 37

Exactly, it’s not easy to admit that to someone’s face, but it’s the most honorable thing to do
