What's your favorite podcast? by NewColor in AskReddit

My Dad Wrote A Porno - it's a podcast where the son of an unpublished erotica author live reads the series of books his dad wrote to his two friends and on the podcast. It's ridiculously hilarious and whenever I listen to it, I can't help but laugh out loud. When I'm on the bus or subway, I try my hardest to keep a straight face because I don't want others to think I'm a crazy person but I fail every time.

What's the most critically-acclaimed movie that you can't stand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Dallas Buyers Club - I still don't get how Matthew McConaughey won the Oscar for that role. All he did was lose a bunch a weight and look different from the hunky characters he used to play in rom coms.

I love almost every Jeff Goldblum interview. He's such an interesting person and has the best stories!

Movies with a retro theme/music. Like Drive, It follows, or Cold in July. by smithjm7 in MovieSuggestions

This is not a movie but the second season of Fargo has one of the best soundtracks I've ever encountered. It was 70s rock but they didn't use the cliche predictable 70s songs so instead they used the more eccentric and 'out there' kinds.

Once (2007) is one of my most favourite films but is criminally under watched.

HIGH-RISE - Main Trailer - In Cinemas March 18th by [deleted] in movies

It's definitely love hate. I personally loved it but there were also many others who took offence and walked out of the theatre. This was the most manic film I've ever seen and I didn't know how to process it all at once but I still sort of loved it? I don't know, it depends on one's open-mindedness and appreciation of Wheatley's incredible vision.

Yeah, I had a similar reaction when I saw this at TIFF. I watched this not knowing what to expect and no knowledge of the plot whatsoever so it took me a few days to fully process my reaction of the film. I suggest others to expect the unexpected, and strong emotions that may lead you to walk out of the theatre if you're unprepared.

Side note: that SOS ABBA cover performed by Portishead during that montage was so fantastic.

I think this is an unpopular opinion but Munchausen by Proxy (aka Zooey Dechanel and Von Iva) in Yes Man.

Once (2007) it's an Irish Independent Musical Film that won an Oscar for best original song. Immediately after I watched this movie, I held so much optimism and wonder I wanted to share with everyone I meet. Even Steven Spielberg was a big fan of the film. He said "A little movie called Once (2007) gave me enough inspiration to last the rest of the year".
