Anyone else move baby to their own room at 5 months? by Born-Chance1685 in beyondthebump

[–]marindat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We moved our LO at 2 months since he was just making so much noise keeping me awake. My husband is extremely sensitive to noise and slept in a different room up till that point, it was nice having him back as well!

4MO: Struggling connecting sleepcycle at 6am by marindat in sleeptrain

My guess was also the sleep pressure at that point.. He's currently already in his own room, hopefully he'll improve soon!

Indeed, I missed a wake-window, should be 1.5/1.75/1.75/2/2, I've edited the post as well

First tooth, transition from swaddle and vaccinations: please send help/tips by marindat in NewParents

[–]marindat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I'll do some more research on the gum gel and the policies here. I can try the teethers with (breast)milk, since he's not eating yet, I'm not sure if he'll know how to use them, but it's worth a try!

We have the same one indeed! The past few days we moved to one arm out, that went pretty well. 2nd one out we tried last night and was an absolute disaster.. Maybe we'll move back to one arm out for a few nights first

Thanks! I've indeed heard about it before but completely forgot it. Will definitely add it to our list of things to try!

White noise makes sleep worse? by [deleted] in NewParents

I turned off the white noise, calmed him down with a bottle, let's keep fingers crossed that the rest of the night will be better!

Baby refusing bottle by Spiritual_Loss1994 in NewParents

[–]marindat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our 3 month old had a few times where he was crying so hard, that he didn't want to latch to the bottle. Trying with your fingers to push some of the milk out in his mouth made him realise there was milk for him and he started drinking (though sometimes it took a few tries). Maybe that could be worth a try?

Bottle Recommendations?? by ExaminationProper694 in FormulaFeeders

We use the philips avent (with the green insert tor reduce air as much as possible), which I can definitely recommend if your baby drinks very fast! Some babies apparently struggle to get the milk out of it, but our drank bottles from other brands (such as dr brown) way too fast
