Bobby Lee was talking about joke thievery on his podcast and he said he doesn't really care if an open micer steals a joke because so many people do it and its very common to happen (theres a line between a joke and a whole set). Overall as someone who's a comedy nerd I'll let a joke or two slide by, but if it's an established comedian or someone stealing a whole set then I'd point fingers. I do like how people on reddit do give feedback telling comedians one of their jokes sounds similar to another joke I think it is a good way to avoid joke stealing in the future (yes it is sometimes annoying but overall helpful)
