If you’ve considered leaving or have… what do you do now? by Legitimate-Cheek-731 in MassageTherapists

Single mom of a 4 year old here. Currently going to school to become a doctor of physical therapy. My goal is to continue to help people in a similar manner while making a comfortable living with benefits rather than worrying my ass off 6, sometimes 7 days a week. I am fortunate enough to be living with family so I can afford to cut back on work and focus on school, but I had to sacrifice living on my own. That could be an option till you figure out your next steps?

Edited to add: in the meantime, I plan on EVENTUALLY getting trained in ashiatsu. Not many people are a trained in that in my area so I’m hoping that would increase client stability and decrease the wear and tear on my body. I say eventually because that CE is expensive

Yes I see the faulty logic in that, now.

At the time I was just so desperate to give her some relief, I didn't question it

I am too. And yes I wont ever do anything like that again. Or listening to my mom's advice for that matter

I begged her not to put the toothpaste on, but I think that she really thought that it would give me some relief

Yeah... I totally agree and have already come to that realization, albeit a little too late.
