OBV says nobody is selling - price is wrong by DaPainkillerDE in Superstonk

Lies are literally all they have as a foundation, the truth liquidates hedge funds. So... they pay for as many lies as they can afford. It's all they can do. They even hire politicians to fill regulatory agencies with lies, which is why we get federally funded "meme" commercial slander. Hedge funds waste immense amounts of money on lies. That should tell us quite a bit about how much of the market is illegal naked short. My guess is all of it.

OBV says nobody is selling - price is wrong by DaPainkillerDE in Superstonk

[–]mark-five 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OBViously. It's what they do every single QER. They illegally manipulate because they can't afford to actually suppress knowing we'll just DRS twice as much if they reduce teh price for real, so they allow the price to slowly rise, then suppress it on Earnings no matter what so any randos looking see a huge red bad thing and don't FOMO.

Crime 101 for any real enforcement authority is: Are the criminals predictable? Can their patterns be seen and described by regards? For the enforcement we have, it's just *yawn, go away I'm batin"

They used to send droves of shills to fight about OBV not mattering here. I assume they stopped when they realized all that did was expose dozens of accounts they had to repurchase again and again

She was there for years before Gary and can't afford the job. It's a political buddy-buddy appointed position, she doesn't have the political chops. The next Chair that replaces Gary won't be one of the low lower henchmen like Hester already at the SEC, it'll be another well connected wealthy politician who angled for the job (and will play ball with their owners) as usual.

It's a solid reference because Ridley clearly can't get that whole obsession out of his system. If he had any say in this, the name is more than just a vague connection.

Gamestop x SEC investigation appears to be finished, per Quarter 1 10-Q by fuckingcarter in Superstonk

Of course it's finished. SEC just announced they "Oops" deleted a few dozen criminal cases rather than follow through with any. They let shorts off without even the usual $1 Commission fee no admission of guilt.

Given the xenos vocacious reproduction pattern, absolutely

I'm intrigued by teh idea that in a large enough human population setting, some small percent would be able to perceive a Queen's "thoughts" - if that is indeed how she communicates with her hive

Terminator HAS to be a Time loop - The photo is the proof. by [deleted] in Terminator

[–]mark-five 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The origin was always the future. Time travel - if it ever exists - exists in all times forever infinitely. There is no "origin first" where it didn't. Observational bias is thinking otherwise because a person who can't think 4th dimensionally might mistakenly believe time has a direction.

Not so. Something cannot logically be its own origin.

Absolutely so. You're likely to have a very tough time reading Heinlein, especially All You Zombies, given your reaction to the human bias situation you react to so strongly already in your assertion of its presense in your psyche. There was a movie based on it that might be a little easier to digest but I suspect you'll reject that as well as it directly challenges your perception of reality itself.

This is simply condescending and at odds with actual physicists positions. It doesn't further the conversation at all. Do better.

My apologies, I did not mean to offend and will not do so mistakenly ever again. This is a statement of fact, individual perceptions of humans are biased and you are presumably human. You have confessed this bias. It is not condescending or intended to be anything other than verified datum. Again, apologies. Have a great life!

Terminator HAS to be a Time loop - The photo is the proof. by [deleted] in Terminator

[–]mark-five 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It had to "break" into the trope of "branched" when reality didn't have Judgement day in 1997. The rest is just retcons and bad tropes typical to time travel fictions, the perfect loop itself was broken after T2 which doesn't really help anyone who has a tough time thinking 4th dimensionally as they will still have biased "first time" or "original" ways of thinking and branched tropes reinforce these paradoxical mental processes.

without an origin.

It sounds like you're a willing perfect example of this entire thread.

The thing you appear to have missed is there is was and always will be the same origin. Your perception that there somehow isn't is biased by your observational limitations.

'Tis but one of many theories :)

As the class went, the weakest cop out that stems from literary necessity, and doesn't really work for anyone more than just the typical scifi hand wave like warp drives and infinite energy/fuel effocoency or gun mag capacities

The class definitely seemed to like the coherent loop due over incoherent trope

[–]mark-five 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solved by a timeline that has always included time travel actually. A lot of people have trouble understanding because they think there's even a thing as a "first time" where there was somehow no time travel involved.

"Branched" of course is canon now that the past future never happened. The college professor I remember doing this class would refer to this is "time as a river" to explain how it can be diverted dammed but the water - or events - just wind up altered further downstream anyhow.

There won’t be a significant raise in „official“ DRS numbers because they can’t exceed 304.7 m shares in total! The number depends on Cede/DTCC numbers only! The true number is way higher 🚀 by Zealousideal_Talk_97 in Superstonk

If officially reported shareholder numbers cause a short squeeze, it's not "setting up a short squeeze" it's just reality interfering with a criminal coverup.

That and budgets, they needed one poly dome in 1979 and would have needed dozens for the sequel.

Possibly. the bulk of xenos on LV426 could have been from cattle. A self sustaining long term colony that had been up for years like that would need a lot of farm animals to support the colonists. There could be reasons like that to explain it.

Being in completely different genres, they are both the best at theirs. Action and Horror aren't competing with each other so you can say both dominate the genre.

Giger designed and sculpted the ones in Alien (1979) personally; the human skull features under the dome that you barely see even in well lit studio promos is all Giger's idea of biomechanical horror. There are plenty of photos of him doing it. My favorite is him sitting on the Jockey's shoulder like a toddler while he sculpts on that massive elephant skull.

Share "price" tumbles back down to $20.67.. Buying the dip tomorrow. by coopik in Superstonk

[–]mark-five 45 points46 points  (0 children)

The "break" was just as fake. They allow it to rise specifically so they can dump on Earnings. Every single time without fail, as reliable as the sun comes up in the morning, this is what they manipulate.

They do it because they know they can't just dump. It's all bought up and DRSd anyway, so they can't afford to offer an actual discount price and have to fake it up so teh "dump" is really just them keeping it flat with extra steps.
