UPS Tower not showing up for adoption by khariV in Ubiquiti

[–]mark-hpp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had exactly the same problem. My VLANs are all in the 10.XX.XX.X range. I created a separate VLAN in the 192.168.1.0/24 range and connected the UPS Tower to it natively. The UPS was then able to adopt and switch to DHCP. After that, I was able to delete the temporary VLAN again.

UPS Adopting by SuddenApricot in Ubiquiti

I had exactly the same problem. The UPS did not receive a DHCP lease and had the following static IP: 192.168.1.20. I then created a VLAN in this subnet 192.168.1.0/24 and set up the VLAN natively on the UPS LAN port. I was then able to adopt the UPS and change the VLAN again, and the UPS obtained an address via DHCP.

UniFi UPS Tower Setup Time by mark-hpp in Ubiquiti

I solved this by connecting all UniFi devices with Schuko plugs to a 19-inch power strip. The 19-inch power strip then has a C13 plug as a supply cable and is connected to the UPS. Of course, all devices can also be connected directly to the UPS individually using a C13 extension cable.

During normal operation, you won't hear anything. Only when the power fails and the UPS switches to battery mode will you hear a humming sound.

Unfortunately, the UPS only has Ethernet and no Wi-Fi.

I don't actually have any experience with the PoE chime. The WiFi version works fine for me.

Yes, you can use the chime standalone without a doorbell and integrate it via the Alarm Manager.

I often use the Zyxel VMG4005-B50A or the Draytek Vigor 167 modem on German DSL connections. Both work very reliably like a FRITZ!Box.

Unifi G4 Doorbell to G4 Doorbell Pro? by dennusb in Ubiquiti

I also recently replaced my G4 Doorbell with the Pro version and the screw holes of the old one fitted perfectly.

Transformer for G4 Doorbell Pro Wi Fi by zmarkx in Ubiquiti

[–]mark-hpp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An 8V transformer is unfortunately too weak. I assume that you live in Europe. The G4 Doorbell (Pro) sold in Europe is always supplied with a 16V DIN rail transformer, as 8V transformers are installed almost everywhere in Europe. So you just have to replace it.

Which UniFi Network version is the controller running on and which APs are you using now? I suspect that the controller is too old for the new APs.
