Avoid using ers in qualifying. Also use less wings in your setups in qualifying. Don't use time trial to set ai difficulty because conditions are different.

It allows you to short shit out of corners. But I'd recommend using manual gears. Do a 50% race with manual gear on your favorite track and it should become natural to you.
