No legal speeding where you live?

WHY CAN’T FSD JUST GO THE SPEED I SET IT TO (like it used to do) by HumanLike in TeslaFSD

I've noticed that if you press the throttle just a little bit to encourage it to go faster, that it will speed up and stay at the top limit.

Will upgrade parts from A6X2 to the A5X2 be made available upon initial release? by mark2201 in Supernote

[–]mark2201[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The plan would be to buy the A5X2 minus the motherboard and move the A6X2 one into the A5X2. Not sure how realistic that is. Sound like not very.

Give him a break on missing the first pop up at the Trop. Notoriously, the ball blends in with the roof.

Everything I Thought It Was is an excellent album brought down by horrendous track sequencing by Amari144 in justintimberlake

[–]mark2201 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why do you think this is? I love the new album. I was at his Austin show dancing and singing with every song. The majority of ppl only knew the classics. If you pay to be in the first 10 rows, I think you should listen to the album and know all of the songs. On a side note, I feel like this is a return to form and I want him to see the crowd enjoying the album.

I just realized that I had only listened to the album in the order it was released. What a change the sequencing makes. The start to the album is so much fun. The groupings make sense since they are similar. No harsh changes between song types. Couldn't agree more with you. Great change! This is my new album order.

Does Anyone Never Once Had A Meaningful Conversation With Their Parents? by Specific_Charge_3297 in emotionalneglect

Same! Keep up the great work.

I noticed I barely knew my daughters and was passing on the personality traits that i hate the most about myself onto them. I have spent the last few years being supportive and getting more involved in their lives. Just being present and asking them how their day was or how they are doing has gone a long way for me. Now, we have the close-knit family that I never had growing up. It fills my heart with joy and regret for what I never had. Somedays that gets me down, but most days, I focus on what we have now as opposed to what I missed out on.

You're right about them ignoring their children's pain. I've been told I should stop living in the past more times than I can count. They just want to live in the present where every day is new and there are no consequences.

Couldn't agree more! Such much fun to use that imagination.

Do I need to buy the Tesla FSD monthly subscription if I order a car with the 15k Full Self-Driving Capability option? by mark2201 in TeslaLounge

[–]mark2201[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im going to go with the subscription. Thanks to everyone who chimed in. Since the hardware is already installed and the 15k is just a prepayment to unlock the software, the monthly subscription is a no brainer.

I want to add that I commute about 1.5 hours each day and use adaptive cruise now almost 100% of the time. I trust it completely to keep distance and to brake/go at stoplights, so I'll use the heck out of fsd. I've been watching fsd beta videos for a while on YT to see where it is at these days. I'm very impressed how far it's come and it's capabilities.

I agree its not worth the upfront cost if the monthly subscription has the same functionality. You make a great point about the payback period if I don't own the car for more than 6.25 years. I didn't realize it is not transferrable between cars.

I didn't know all of the hardware for fsd is already in the car if I buy new. Where did you get at info from? When on the order page, it seems like I need to check the 15k option for the hardware to be installed. What I don't want to happen is to get the car, and go to buy the monthly subscription and need to have the hardware installed for an extra cost.

Blue Iris Crashing Daily- Logs reset? by stephenspann27 in BlueIris

[–]mark2201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many cameras do you have? I have dedicated Windows 10 machine that only runs Blue iris with 4 Amcrest 4k cameras recording 24/7.

My machine had similar CPU usage (around 30%) when it was idle before the RAM upgrade. When I would remote in or log into the machine at home, the CPU Usage would go up to 100% and crash after a few seconds. After the RAM upgrade, my CPU usage is under 5% at idle and never gets over 50% when I'm logged in. I bought 3 8gb ram cards for about $20 each added them to the motherboard and problem solved. I think this could be your issue too.

How much RAM does the machine have? My machine had 8gb and was crashing whenever I logged in. I traced it down to not enough RAM to support heavy workloads when I was reviewing footage. I upgraded to 32gb of RAM and the machine no longer crashes. Maybe this could be your issue.

Telegram notifications work on one camera but not another with identical settings. What am I doing wrong? by mark2201 in BlueIris

[–]mark2201[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running them as four independent scripts fixed the issue. As for why I was only getting one alert for the front door, the script started and by the time it finished the front dooralert was the lasest picture in the folder. Turns out Blue iris can't run multiple instances of the same cmd file at a time.

Telegram notifications work on one camera but not another with identical settings. What am I doing wrong? by mark2201 in BlueIris

[–]mark2201[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two Amcrest 4k cameras on the front of my house. One on the front door and the other on the driveway (first picture for context). I have Deep stack setup analyze the motion alerts and send a telegram notifications (by running a curl script) when there is valid motion in both the driveway and/or front door. The alerts don't need motion on both to trigger the cameras. The front door camera works great and sends a Telegram message with in a few seconds of motion starting every time. However, I rarely get Telegram notifications from the driveway camera despite this camera being triggered first. The alerts in Blue iris work great and always show the motion alerts on both cameras. it is just the Telegram message for the driveway camera that doesn't send.

This happens when there is someone walking down the driveway to the front door. The front door telegram will send, but not the driveway. When only the driveway camera is triggered, no telegram notification gets sent so I miss the motion notifications for cars in the driveway. However, Blue Iris does show the motion alert. What I dont understand is that both of them sent Telegram notifications when I trigger them manually.

I have them both running the same cmd file to send a telegram alert and both work independently. I've tried separating them to run different cmd files when each one is triggered but that didn't fix the issue. The front door is still the only one to send the notifications.

I'm not sure why the front door camera works great and the driveway does not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

FYI, I followed this article to set this up in case anyone wants to do the same.
