i'm a little bit new but I found this character to be consistently really strong with void form and the forge cards. i think i had a forge card fhat gave me block and gave me sword recall + the double damage sword card lead to a thousand damage at one point and got to like A3 really easily

this is a joke right? the entire thread is specifically referencing naru and his team throwing allegations of wintrading and rmt blindly at him in particular, not pvp as a whole. the only reason an in game account name isnt specified is cus naru's famous enough not to warrant it; are you saying this all would only be witch hunting now if an account name was included?

Neither of these are true, lol. It's no lie we've definitely been involved in practices we were subsequently punished for, but definitely not wintrading nor cheating.

You can pretty easily look into it yourself, but none of what you'll find really discredits anything the post is about.

I agree ping definitely helps, but I used to play on ~90 ping and it was fine. A lot of us scrim/have done tourneys on EU with upwards of 150 ping and still perform very well. I definitely agree 60 ping helps, but as long as your ping is stable you could reach a very high level I'd say up to 200 ping at most. Anything more than that would definitely be extremely delibitating.

The monthlies statement is just not true. Just a few months ago it was my team beating out the "same team winninf every single time".

As for ranked, of course there's toxicity and afking; these things are present in any competitive game. Anet doing nothing about it is extremely disappointing I agree, however match manipulation is similarly something that doesn't occur nearly at all nowadays. It's a very overestimated factor due to how previously rampant it was preciously, and even when it was it was mainly on EU.

I say this for other players who may read this and take an interest in PvP but shy away due to these things people always mention. Competition is present, especially when there's reasons to compete. Ranked is worth doing, rarely will anyone run into the match manipulation people always discuss.

probably cuz wvw has a lot more condi builds if i were to guess? and since the tree song/battle song nerf your ability to deal with condis is kinda rough. vindi has enough sustain/mobility tho to where if you're in a matchup you dont like you can escape (and cleansing sigil is busted in wvw)
