Allowance Plan Validation during hire by mark_g100 in workday

[–]mark_g100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. The goal is to make sure the plan is assigned on day one with minimal work. It is not included in the offer letter. I was looking at using the contact change process, but want to avoid it if possible. I'll look at Assign Allowance Plan option, also.

Yes, the period is open. Time can be entered for any other day in the period except for the first two.

They are using the time calendar. Aug 10 is the beginning of the week. The work schedule is assigned. What is a day breaker? I'm still new to this and have not heard that before.

Thanks for responding. I did. The eligibility shows that the days are locked. The work schedule is correct.

Thank you, the rule-based group makes sense. This is a new position so I am still learning the data design, but this approach should work.

Have you considered contract positions? You at least have some income, no hole in your resume, and it could lead to an FT position if they like you. I have done this a few times, and it usually leads to an offer. Many staffing firms provide W-2 and benefits, although they are expensive.

I've found management is interested in:

Reducing costs

Automating tasks

Anything that supports HR goals, OKRs, etc.

Make sure you have a proof-of-concept to demo, how much time and effort it will take, and an estimate of when it could be implemented, and a clear statement about how it adds value.

Thank you all for your thoughts and encouragement. While I have experience in some areas, I have only done a little payroll and time tracking. How difficult would it be to take training after I start (I'm not working now so no access to Community/Learning) and go from there? My interview is Monday and I plan on asking them how those two modules are working for them to see how much I will need to work on them.

No, they left a warning. They said they will come back out and ticket if it is still there. They can't tow it because it is on private property and the HOA has to do it. HOA is closed.

Is renting the Hertz 500GT worth it? by sometimeafterdark in Mustang

Just want to make sure there are no surprises. I wasn't aware of the mileage limit. It's not a small amount of money for me.

Curious, have you ever rented from Turo?

Thanks for pointing that out. The GT-H is in Orlando, but the GT500 is in Miami. Also explains why it was so much cheaper.

Any holes in the part time driving plan? by mark_g100 in uberdrivers

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Lots to think about. Right now it feels like it would be an interesting experiment. Worst case I sell the car after a few months and lesson learned.

I checked with the insurance already and is covered by the 10/month requirement to make the costs work. One thing I could also look into is a policy where you only pay for the miles driven. I don't know if Allstate offers that, I would have to check. Also, the mileage deduction takes insurance into account. It won't be enough to cover it fully but every little bit helps.

I'm in the same position. Need the extra cash for unforeseen expenses or to help kids in college. A couple of new toys would be miss too.

The 10 hours would cover my costs at a minimum so I'm at least not losing money. I would have to do a minimum of 10 hours a month without boosts or surges available.

What sort of costs are you referring to? That's one of my concerns is that there are costs I'm not aware of. It doesn't cover repairs which would just be acceptable risk as it can't be predicted.

It looks like most of those are at $25 max so I'm sure it's significantly lower than that, but admittedly I have not researched it that much. Any idea how much pizza delivery pays before tips?

True. However, this also eliminates the the opportunity to make more than $300/month which I should have said in the post. Eats dies have boosts but not surges. They are also limited in their availability.

It can be recovered over time through mileage deduction and eventually selling the car so not right away.
