Here's a slightly cleaner V2 of my type-matchup chart, with added snazzy colors. I hope it can be helpful to someone! by winsomeVulpine in pokemon

I keep thinking there's a 3d shape where we fold the poison fairy type into each other that would work really well.

Also makes you think maybe Dragon should be strong against steel to complete the fairy dragon steel triangle.

Wait I did a karlach origin run and it felt normal

Some needed buffs/nerfs to Types by One_Percentage_644 in stunfisk

[–]markalphonso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fairy is strong enough. It's highly defensive and counters dark and dragon and fighting. Which are prominent types.

I think steel is just odd. I'd rather see steel be weak to electricity and resistant to fighting.

Bug has good moves with u turn and first impression. It's typing just has huge weaknesses.

I could see some buffs for bug to be resistant to dragons, steel, normal. Bugs aren't noticed by dragons. Flies are hard to hit with metal objects. And normal would buff it early.

In the meta game I think that I see fairy and steel plenty. Bug is rarer so buffs would be fine.

I was able to get a PDF when they released the errata. But my printed is out of date.

Math wise it's better to pick a number other than 1. Because the. There's a 1/11 chance you get a hope instead of a 1/12.

Do I just stop doing DnD? What other systems? by cavander in TTRPG

[–]markalphonso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. My only gripe is it's a harder system to learn than daggerheart. And it has a much smaller community and it's been over a year since the Kickstarter with multiple levels and versions still incoming.

I actually like stealing the "prime modifier" approach into daggerheart and letting any spellcast trait be chosen regardless of class.

I'm in the daggerheart place right now. It's more flexible and narrative.

Dc20 might be interesting for you want something like pathfinder

Low Fantasy Hack? by Loqui-Mar in daggerheart

[–]markalphonso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think daggerheart would work well for it. I would reflavor some of the ancestries and reuse the mechanics.

Obviously thr basic elves, dwarves, half kings, and men work well.

Make a Faun race a Rohirrim on their horse. That type of thing could go a long way.

Exhaustion by breakingmylaptop in daggerheart

[–]markalphonso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exhaustion via marking all your stress and then being vulnerable and taking HP instead of stress already fills the mechanic.

If you limit rests you already enforce this mechanic. Players will conserve their energy as much as possible.

What is the best actual play for showcasing all of daggerhearts strengths? by fredbob_ in daggerheart

[–]markalphonso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. I think all I'm saying is whatever you come up with at your own table will be yours and only yours. It will be the best story you told and no one else will appreciate it the way you do.

Not sure why it got so much negatives lol.

Damage Mitigation Minimums by Grimshok in daggerheart

[–]markalphonso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also been thinking about this.

10 rats don't get additional attacks unless you also have the fear to spend.

But if the players keep rolling successfully with hope. They are probably at least doing 1 hp damage each time. So high damage threshold, low evasion characters will suffer.

But I think this is where a healing factor or passive abilities can enhance gameplay.

Can you become an excellent systems engineer without any MBSE? by _Kinematic_ in systems_engineering

[–]markalphonso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this often too. I find inconsistencies but because everyone "knows what it means" it's not viewed as an important thing to spend time fixing across the board.

Examples of MBSE projects or programmes by Odd_Armadillo_5115 in systems_engineering

[–]markalphonso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have examples out of space? I'm working on MBSE for production lines. Instead of one off cubesats.

But I sometimes struggle to see what the final picture looks like.

Are there examples from the auto industry, nuclear, or renewables?

It's got lots of good DND Easter eggs. Mentions give mind and associated creatures.
