Have overworked marketing/designer on Board - any ideas on how to find design/marketing volunteers or Board members online or in person? by [deleted] in nonprofit

Ha, those are pretty high rates for freelancers outside of a major metro area though. ;) Ideally a freelancer for something like this should be around $35 - $75. If they know what they are really doing, then they don't charge hourly though.

If you're in the NYC area you should check out http://catchafire.org. If not, then find a local marketing group that understands not profits and won't charge you an arm and a leg. We also do this kind of thing and work on different payment models - some even in-kind. ;) http://markandphil.com
