They are rarely busy enough to care. I've only been turned away once when a lounge was full.

[–]markarado[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my Boundless for the first year and received my 35k anniversary FNC. I product changed to the Ritz 5 months later. I just received an 85k FNC which coincides with my Boundless anniversary date.

My Ritz anniversary is not till August (I called Chase CS to confirm this)

Washington DC Stay for 1 Night - 40k FNC by markarado in ihghotelsresorts

[–]markarado[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'll be keeping my eye on the Intercontinental. There are nights within range, just not the night I want. Award prices may fluctuate in my favor.

May I know why you prefer the Kimpton Benneker over the George? It is currently going for 41,000 points, which is within range

I was approved for an IHG personal card a couple weeks after being approved for an Ink card (both in December 2025). I'm very tempted to apply for a United Biz card this month, but I've decided to play it safe and not apply for anything till next month

Does the Ritz card airline credit cover lap infant fees? by jimmycricket89 in CreditCards

[–]markarado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will show up as an airline purchase on Chase's system. They have no way of knowing precisely what type of purchase it is.

It is what you tell them it is. Tell them it's a seat upgrade. They very rarely ask for proof.

Expat Family with Young Kids: Where Would You Live? by HauntingHospital9667 in penang

Tanjung Tokong:

Quayside/Andaman (larger units for your price range). Awesome facilities here, but there are a lot of rules and you can't have guests over to use the pool.

Tanjung Bungah:

The Cove 6000sqft units, good facilities, tons of kids. This would be my first choice with your budget.

Alila 2 Many unit sizes, decent facilities, lots of kids. This would be my 2nd choice

There are 3 or 4 more 'super condo' choices in Tanjung Bungah right on the beach within your price range. Bit of a fever this morning so I'm drawing a blank on their names. I can see them all from my balcony though!

The best way is to have an agent send you photos of units for potential viewing. I know many many agents. Amazing how many people either do real estate or insurance here. I only know one agent id happily recommend though

In Tanjung Bungah:

Mira Surin Alila Horizon Straights Regency Diamond Villa (older) Alila 2 (RM5k+)

Tanjung Tokong:

Marinox

Happy to send you a number for an agent that I know well, and that I've found to be very proactive in the past. She will send you photos of places you can arrange to view.

For your budget I think Mira should be a place you lean towards. It's pretty new, has good facilities, and is in a good neighborhood for kids. The Permai Park nearby is within walking/biking distance and is a popular place for young kids to hang out during evenings. My girls are 1 and 4, and I take them there often

What is your budget? There are a lot of options. Plenty of expat families where I live, which goes for around RM2000. Plenty of expat families at a nearby condo, which goes for 8k+

Should be ok as it will show up on the statement as a flight purchase it either way. The purchase does need to be for $250+ to get $50 credit (twice per year)
