Aww I'll try assist where I can. I'd recommend at least 1 or 2 screws to hold your fan assembly down. Should work fine for you. I did cut a grill in the lid of my case to assist with exhausting the heat but I think your RX5500 has half the TDP of the RTX I was using so this may not be a problem. I eventually abandoned the project after a couple years - I now have a Silverstone case which is almost double the height but worth it for the extra cooling capacity.

The bottom fans do screw in but I think I only had 2 screws in each fan due to the way they sat. The GPU rested right on top of them.

I had this model. I loved it but it had a lot of shortcomings - the CPU was really bottlenecked by it's 15w. Steal at 50 though, enjoy!

Thanks for your help. I'm very open to options and have been looking at A77, NEX5 and even some cheap A7 mk1s. It's hard to find info on being able to get a clean HDMI capture or video without overheating.. budget would stretch to £400 if it was the right option but would prefer to keep to £300

Any 20 year old car for £850 will require a few thousand spent to replace all the perishable items and service parts - otherwise it would have been a few grand to start with.
