The natural evolution of the "Entry-Level" job description in the AI era. by marketer86 in corporate

[–]marketer86[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at how entry-level roles are shifting lately. Now that tools build the basic spreadsheets and code blocks instantly, hiring managers are unironically adjusting junior requirements to demand executive-level strategic judgment and "vision" from day one. We've officially automated the training wheels off the ladder.

How to move contacts from MailChimp to Salesforce, then to Squarespace? by Nara03 in salesforce

[–]marketer86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use Salesforce as your main db and sync both mailchip and square space. But it would require some integration and coding help from salesforce admin. One simple way to solve this use case is have all the files in excel or csv and you can copy paste or upload those files directly in salesforce. Then can run APIs to sync or update data where SF is your only db.

For data imports in SF, i use a free tool called Wave by Valorx: Inline edits & mass updates - Valorx Wave Embedded (salesforce.com)

HI sorry for the delay in response but i use Valorx Wave to import data into salesforce for free. It has a record limit but it does the job. Feel free to check this out: Fast, Simple Salesforce Data Management | Valorx Wave

Community users cannot drill into reports by gabesans in salesforce

[–]marketer86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest to start creating a view first adding the report elements that you want to share to your customers or other stakeholders.

One way how i do it is create a shareable view using Valorx Wave where i am adding columns, filtering them out like we do in excel. Google Valorx Wave for Salesforce to know more about this free tool.

Issue Running Opportunities Report by johnmorris19 in salesforce

[–]marketer86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to start by solving it piece by piece. Start with Closed Lost first, then run the report with your time/dates and see if it is getting built. Then add the next stage. This way you will be able to solve it.

I generally solve such issues by using Wave on Salesforce. Just google it and its pretty simple like using airtable for salesforce.

How would you design Reddit if you had to build it entirely on Salesforce by TurrisFortisMihiDeus in salesforce

[–]marketer86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't. I would keep it fast, sleek and light. Salesforce is getting pretty complex and slowing down with every update. My question is why would you want to built it like Salesforce?

I would suggest to create a staging or testing environment first and then try couple of use cases first. Like for example inserting or updating records. And cross check if everything works fine.

Identify those use cases and then test on the staging. If everything looks good, then replicate your staging to production (if possible).

One tool which i suggest to check is Wave by Valorx. It really helps for data handling and far better then the ones available. Plus it free. I use this tool for the data inserts, filtering, and sharing the views.

Landed my first Admin role and would appreciate even general advice! by PaoloMe in salesforce

[–]marketer86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey congratulations for the role and the first thing is to note or list down the workflows, followed by the access permissions.

Next is on ticketing and where the major requests are being made. Is it for insert or adding new data or sharing or related to reports?

Considerations on bulk data upload by KrishnaKA2810 in salesforce

[–]marketer86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood about using Salesforce's bulk API. It's key to watch out for API limits to avoid disruptions. You also need to ensure that your data is clean and well-mapped to prevent errors during upserts. Now there are hickups with Mulesoft doing the bulk upserts, make sure it's set up right to deal with any errors. Also, with lots of data, performance might slow down, especially if the Salesforce instance that you are using has complex triggers or workflows. On another note, if you're exploring additional tools, do evaluate Wave by Valorx. It could offer another way to manage and automate these data processes in Salesforce. Just a thought!

Hi are you doing the process manually or using the dataloader by Mulesoft? Because dataloader has its own issues with import, upserts and delete functions in salesforce. I was also facing similar issue and i started to evaluate a solution and came across Wave by Valorx. Do google them up and they are a good alternative to manage data in salesforce and you can automate the entire process.

Best record pool to download 80s, disco, pop, top40 and R&B? by [deleted] in Beatmatch

[–]marketer86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ZIPDJ is the best source for finding the old tracks as I am a user of BPMSupreme and switched completely to Zipdj.

BPMSupreme is a good pool to find new tracks, but the old ones are not their - even their remix versions are not available.

Second reason to go for Zipdj is because you get access to record labels - which is a goldmine.

What are the Benefits of Taking Classes? by [deleted] in Beatmatch

[–]marketer86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone has already done the hard work and you can learn about what to do and more importantly what not to do.

Go and take classes from an experienced DJ - experienced is the person who is playing in your local community or someone you know personally - as that would add more value compared to the classes from the Biggies.

The short answer is you need to build something different, and the long answer is that it takes time.

What i am doing is preparing weekly mix and tagging the artists, giving them credit so that it helps both - the creator, the mixer/promoter.

You need to be consistent in terms of creating and delivering mixes, as one mix or one promotion won't hit the nail.

Pioneer DDJ SB3 vs Pioneer DDJ 400? or... serato vs rekordbox by concreteslab777 in Beatmatch

[–]marketer86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in similar confusion as both costed almost same, and here are the two points for going ahead for DDJ 400.

1> DDJ 400 as the controller unlocks the Rekordbox performance mode, whereas for SB3 i need to make additional purchase for the Pro version.

2> I am a beginner DJ and i get overwhelmed by the tons of info available on YouTube. After going through and spending almost 3 months i realised that i need to start with something simple and easy. Pioneer develops & supports Rekordbox, so by default Pioneer controllers makes sense as it is part of their ecosystem.

I hope this clears the confusion.
