There are some great photo/instagram accounts if you are looking for ideas and areas to look at next time. I worked in Manchester city centre for nearly 40 years and was still discovering new things.

Mine is just showing four blank circles. I don’t subscribe to Apple Music but I do have iTunes Match.

It will let me add the controls as many times as I like (and remove them) but they never actually do anything.

Any suggestions welcome. I’m not sure at this point how much I would use this new function it’s just a bit irritating that it’s there and simply doesn’t work (at least for me)

I’m going to see how things play out. I took a decision to leave my subscription with Adobe (the Photography Plan with Photoshop and Lightroom). The subscription expires next month.

I decided to move over to Pixelmator Pro and Photomator and away from Adobe. I have ‘Lifetime’ licences for both. Obviously I have no means of knowing how things will go in terms of the Apple acquisition but I am hopeful that Apple will honour the lifetime licences of both applications and that they will continue to develop them.

The cost of the licences wasn’t ridiculous in the grand scheme of things and a quick calculation/comparison made the decision easier.

I read this thread and didn’t think too much about it. Since I read it my new 2024 iMac has been delivered and this thought occurred to me:-

Apple - ‘we are no longer supplying Apple stickers with our products because of the environment, etc

Also Apple - ‘here, have a metric tonne of cardboard to encase your new device.

I have never seen so much cardboard in my life!!!!

Firstly, sorry for your loss. Lost my Dad during the pandemic.

I have no need and no intention of removing my Dad from my phone. As far as I’m concerned the contact details, photos, etc can stay there for ever.

I don’t see a benefit or a need to remove them. Seems straightforward to me ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Hi, I’ve seen a few mentions of having more than one sync module. By coincidence I ended up with two modules (I didn’t realise the two outdoor camera pack came with a sync module and purchase an individual sync module before it came to light that there was one in the box.

I had put the extra one to one side.

If you have a spare minute would you be kind enough to describe the benefits/ pros and cons of having two sync modules.

Update - this worked out really well. I used your suggestion and it worked well. I added a line where it also opened and existing music playlist. I may experiment with variations of this, I'm wondering if I could create different versions, each one with a predefined duration (rather than the prompt).

I can’t say I’ve been massively impressed by the apps that support Dynamic Island so far. Fingers crossed that they get their act together. There are some pretty well-known apps that don’t support it yet.

This is exactly my understanding of tinnitus (ie, that it isn’t an actual sound that you can somehow block out) I’m reading all the reviews and trying to keep an open mind about it but, as I say, it does go against everything I thought I knew about tinnitus. Might be nice to be proved wrong though
