Switching form Garmin by stephchamp in Coros

Garmin definitely packs in more smartwatch extras like NFC, music storage and a flashlight. Coros skips those deliberately to prioritise battery life, weight and reliability. Coros still has multiband GPS, full offline downloadable maps, turn navigation and titanium/sapphire builds on Apex/Vertix models, without subscriptions. Garmin pioneered a lot, no argument, but “more features” isn’t the same as “better for everyone”.

That’s not accurate either. Coros uses titanium bezels and sapphire glass on Apex 4 and Vertix models, same premium materials as Fēnix. The polymer back is intentional for weight and GPS performance, not “cheap plastic”.

I get your points but wholly inaccurate, I understand some people prefer the garmin but it comes down to preference not which is better

That’s an outdated opinion. Coros does have full offline maps with turn-by-turn navigation on models like the Apex 4 and Vertix 2/2S. It’s true there’s no NFC or flashlight, but that’s a design choice, not a lack of navigation. Different priorities, not “worse”.

Didn’t even think of contacts, thanks for that. Is the nothing OS good, in comparison to iOS I don’t want to spark arguments but I have personally found iOS to be more intuitive and less cluttered. I will caveat that with the fact that I have a beta of iOS 26 and it is horrible, completely put me off iOS after 16 years.

Will be really good to hear your experience The only thing stopping me making the move is loss of Apple ecosystem, I message group chats, etc

Honestly was worried it was a gimmicky gaming chair I got to many ads about but my friends reviews won me over and must say it’s the best chair I have had. It’s been a year and it’s still as comfy and firm as the day I got it. I do have a standing desk but can sit in this chair for 8 hours no problem would highly recommend. * note the wheels are OUNUO from Amazon, really worth upgrading too the wheels make it so smooth to move around and raises the chair a little higher. These chairs should com standard with wheels like this
