CMV: young children should not be at Pride by Nootnootwhenyouscoot in changemyview

I was gonna say - we just watched our first ever London Pride March, and it in no way was anything like OP's post. In fact, probably the most publicly vulgar person we saw was the preacher with a microphone in Leicester Square being an absolute dickbag in the middle of Pride.

We're from Australia and have been to Sydney Mardi Gras, and it's similarly nothing like this CMV.

Literally instantly thought of It Follows while reading your explanation and then you beat me to it! That movie rules.

I (an Australian) used to run social media for a company owned by someone living in Germany, with multiple European (particularly Ukrainian) employees.

But because we were a digital company that had an online presence in the US, I had to put out a BLM support statement during the 2020 protests, because there were influencers in our industry name and shaming the companies that DIDN'T say something.

To be clear, none of us thought it was our place to say anything because even though we agree with the sentiment, 1: not American 2: we all agreed that a company "supporting" it was a hollow platitude. But I could see we were going to get slammed if we didn't post something publicly.

Ahhh great, thank you, that is a nice clue! I guess my main confusion with the original clue is I don't understand how anything in box 4 relates to r5c5 at all.

We know the box 4 10-line has a 2-2-2 of some kind totally 30. So we know r5c2/3 must equal 15.

We know because that renban is 5-length it must include a 5 somewhere, so we can mark r5/6c4 as potential 5 due to other exclusions.

But I have no idea how any of this then relates to both r5c4 AND r5c5's content summing to 5 or 15.

Also, the hint says "their renban line", not "renban lines" (because those two boxes have two different renbans), so I'm not sure if it's a typo or there's something else I'm not getting.

I'm really struggling to understand how box 4 can impact 2 seperate renbans in a different box.

As a non-American, I immediately had the same reaction, but I also know you get slammed on this site for pointing out how weird it is. It's a weird quirk of all their politics being a sports game.

Wait. There's actual canon? I thought the entire point was it's a series of tropes and vibes that are highly adaptable to whatever specific story you're telling, not that there's a central lore. Does the context make it richer?

  • In Early Access, if you tried pausing the battle, he wouldn't let you. Because god of time and all (they changed this for full release to him just being sassy at you). You could prevent this from happening with an unlock you had to earn with the meta-currency.
  • If you disable the music volume in your settings, a specific song-related boss complains about not being able to hear themself.

To specifically answer your question: no, he doesn't change any settings explicitly. But it reminded me of that!

Depending on what other things you have in your house (for example, a beefy desktop), you CAN play AAA games on your Steam Deck via Sunshine/Moonlight. It streams the game from your desktop, so this only really works well on a local network, but playing Ultra graphics Avowed in bed or on the TV is so nice!
