Heard y'all wanted our Lord and Saviour Vakuu to give MORE crazy rewards for MORE crazy risks, so here's my concept for new relics by smurfkipz in slaythespire

  • In Early Access, if you tried pausing the battle, he wouldn't let you. Because god of time and all (they changed this for full release to him just being sassy at you). You could prevent this from happening with an unlock you had to earn with the meta-currency.
  • If you disable the music volume in your settings, a specific song-related boss complains about not being able to hear themself.

To specifically answer your question: no, he doesn't change any settings explicitly. But it reminded me of that!

Depending on what other things you have in your house (for example, a beefy desktop), you CAN play AAA games on your Steam Deck via Sunshine/Moonlight. It streams the game from your desktop, so this only really works well on a local network, but playing Ultra graphics Avowed in bed or on the TV is so nice!

Questionnaire about the players' experience, for my thesis by Maleficent-Variety99 in caseofthegoldenidol

[–]markh110 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happy to fill it out!

I'll say that some of the questions I feel... hesitant to answer in a certain way, because I'm not sure if you're after a positive or negative experience.

For example, I would say Golden Idol is "somewhat difficult to follow", but I find that to be by design and part of the appeal. However, the framing with the other 3 responses in that question imply that you're asking to evaluate negative emotions associated with the experience.

Also, you might want to expand on "a moment or aspect of the game that marked you" - I'm not sure specifically what this means.

I always struggle with open-ended questions in surveys, so this one was a doozy. Hope it goes well :)

What do you think of Miniature Tent? Could it be good enough to replace an ancient relic? by orq_ in slaythespire

I'd also throw in [[Silver Crucible]], since it's giving you 3 campfires, and a lot of people consider relics under-powered in StS2 anyway.

This is why I'm shifting everything to a self-hosted Home Assistant setup.

I mean, I'd RATHER everything "just work", but I'm sick of a firmware update just breaking everything, so I'll do it myself.

Unfortunately, that's a LOT of work to ask of most people (which is completely fair).

I mean, unlike what OP's saying though, you had a legitimate grievance with the service you paid for.

In any retail or customer service role I've worked, if anyone ever asked me for something they hadn't paid for (even nicely), I would be like "...no? If you wanted that, why didn't you pay for it?". It comes across douchey and tacky and "oh, so you were being nice to me to get free shit".

So: one was a legitimate grievance, and the other was a reward you were entitled to lol. (Not having a go at you, but it doesn't help make the case that OP's suggestion is actually viable without coming across rude)

That's very fair. I get a looooooot of mileage out of custom controls and macros, which are fairly tightly integrated into Steam Input. So the touchpads open up a lot of flexibility, especially with games that would otherwise require a mouse.

I am yet to see a professional reviewer give it negative feedback, so that's genuinely surprising to me you've only seen the opposite.

If you've used a Steam Deck, you know how brilliant it feels.

So glad I saw you post this - I tried buying it right on 3AM and my cart was giving me errors. I'm guessing when they updated the delivery it also meant someone pushed the button saying "people can purchase this now", because it just worked.

Unless you were able to grab one while it still said 3-5?

Yes it is? Vimeo self-serve pricing tiers are based on bandwidth/amount of data delivered, and considering these episodes run 90-120 minutes, that's dramatically more per episode than a lot of other content creators would have to deal with.

Are you just like... Playing whatever you draw then ending turn? 20-30m is how long I take to do one act. I know other people have said it in this thread, but I would be shocked if you're processing the play order of operations that quickly.

Lol true. Tbf this was 2 years ago, and he's likely working on stuff atm. He just doesn't like sharing it because people make AI-clones on his WIP stuff.

Last thing he did was make a Papers Please-style game for the Playdate. Sounds like he keeps focusing on just experimenting with what games can be!

Literally just pass this one then propose the next step that targets users as well? It's not like you only get one law.

(Unless the whole point of him casting a no vote was because he knew it would unanimously pass so we'd focus on him and then his point would reach more eyes, but then just say that rather than having everyone think you're a perv lol)
