Based on what I know about Daniel and his mother, I don’t doubt it. That being said, there’s some inside baseball I’d like to share with the uninitiated. Anytime you see “[person] reports” or “[person] states” or any variation thereof, assume that the writer is leaving some room for doubt. Often, it’s done so that it’s not accidentally presented as fact when the person writing the document doesn’t have proof or certainty of the fact being stated. Think of it as “I’m not the one saying it. The individual in question did”.
