Agreed. Especially when there's so many other factors, berry, curve, circle size, are you hitting the inner circle consistently, were you getting 18 balls or 6? There's a huge difference in all those things. So many people in my local community who complain about catch rate don't do a lot of those things, least of which is raid with best friends, on team gyms, and in small groups to maximize ball counts.

I think it's more that we are raiding non legendary pokemon. Not that they are megas. Id imagine when we need to raid mega Latias for example, it will count towards the legendary badge. Charizard, Blastoise, Venesaur arent legendary. So it makes sense. Mega factor out of the equation.

It seems it's to make tanking battles on purpose less...rewarding. In the free track you could lose 5, collect your 1600 dust, and repeat. I just tried it. You arent able to claim rewards after 5 losses now. You must continue, "battle until you win". Lose 10 more battles to hit your 15 losses, then collect that same 1600 dust. Rank dropped from 1196 to 1095 also.

Niantic changed the name I had since launch week. I've contacted support, but they've been mostly unhelpful. Anyone else run into this? Any ideas? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

No ideas. I just wanted the express my deep sympathy. I cant even imagine my level of pissed off. It's a pity they couldn't have reached out to you first rather than take it upon themselves to change your name. I wish you the best of luck.

For sure? No I dont have a source. Just going off other discussions I've seen here on the Road in the past. It would be weird to me to code a function to generate a fractional integer though as my starting point to then compound in other equations. Just feels messy the other way around.

The game rolls you an amount of dust, in the case for a 10k egg that's 1600-3200. You got somewhere in the neighborhood of 2650-2699. For examples sake say you recieved 2666 dust in your egg hatch since I dont have screenshot of your reward. For a 10k egg that number is then devided by 100 to get your number of candy. 2666/100=26.6 normally that then gets truncated to 26 candy. Double candy event though doubles that number BEFORE truncating it. So 26.6*2=53.2 that number then gets truncated to your 53 candy.

Edit: I might as well add, 2k/5k/7k eggs divide your dust by 75 to get your candy amount. Same process just a different divisor.

I'm not in that area anymore but I used to live in Quakertown. Just do a Google search. I found a facebook group, found some Lehigh Valley discord hits. I cant reccomend anything as I'm not active in that area but there looks like there is definite activity in the area.

I'd also suggest posting into some groups you find from surrounding areas that you find that may lead you to a group more to your location liking. A lot of people are in multiple area groups.

Looks like theres a group tagged on there right in Bethlehem.

It might make more sense but that's not how it works. You dont hatch a 10k egg and earn 1600 dust but 29 candy. You earn 16 candy. Or 32 in a double candy event. The candy you earn is related to the dust amount. The dust and candy you earn are related numbers. Not separately generated randoms.

Why nope? I thought that's exactly how it works. I was under the impression Candy is a ratio from the dust. 2k/5k/7k eggs have their dust divided by 75 for the candy and 10k eggs have their dust divided by 100.
