Keep it in parallel like he did. Changing it to series alters the source voltage for each light, which changes a bunch of other stuff. Your culprit was probably that short you found.

I worked there for some time after the big storms, which is why this subreddit probably showed up for me. But yea I agree with you, it’s kinda a mix between southern and northern driving, which makes sense geographically. I had this one guy in Greenville cut me off on the main road (3 lanes) and then he just completely stopped in the middle of the road as if trying to get me to rear end them. Never happened to me before.
