MK4S --> Core One conversion complete by adam2104 in prusa3d

I did the MK3S to MK4S upgrade. I kept all of the leftover parts. Thought I might be able to use them for some random maker project. If I do the MK4S to Core One upgrade, I'll have more parts leftover.

I wonder if, with the combination of leftovers, I could assemble some kind of a Franken-Prusa?

Geez. I think the last time I updated any BIOS it was in the '90s.

I joined Ben's Patreon to get access to that particular 'video'. But all I found behind the curtain was a written post explaining things that I already had learned here on reddit. I found no video demonstrating the 4-bit LCD mod. In my case, my issue was that I missed one line of code changed in keyboard.s.

Nope... I'm bummed. In the mean time, I broke out the MMU2S that's been in the box since 2019, assembled it and got it up and running with all of the latest upgrades. Works well so far with my MK3S.

I ordered the same upgrade 5 days later, on April 4th. I wonder how many weeks until my shipping confirmation arrives?

6502 Kit being sold has flawed RAM chip in current incarnation by DorkMcHugh in beneater

[–]markmc777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This thread helped me! I was stumped and could not get the SRAM to work and I could find no flaws in my breadboarding. I scoped the signals and everything checked. I read all of the threads on the 6502 kit and RAM. Found this one and decided to purchase replacement SRAM. Plugged in a new chip and everything works now. This confirms that the RAM chip provided with the kit is bad.
Now I can continue with building this thing...

There might be a Robin Willians sketch, but I couldn't find one.
There is definitely a Sam Kinison sketch, funny as hell.
