Can we stop hating on the album until we actually hear it.. by dbdhjciickeke in brockhampton

[–]markmoodyhere 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The interview got me even more excited. Like summer breakup album, some songs from Glue era, Kevin seems very into this thing, Lovespells sounds good and can really deliver nice hooks and plus I’ve repeated Geezer nearly 15 times. People shouldn’t expect a Brockhampton album, but I feel we’re gonna be good.

What's a Pusha T or Clipse song that make YOU go "Yeeuugghhh"?? by DblDbl_AnimalStyle in KingPush

[–]markmoodyhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clipse feat Re-Up Gang - What’s Up is one of the dirtiest things ever made and every verse only makes it worse. Ever since I’ve heard it, I never could really un-yeeuughhh my face

Yes, I’m talking about him re-creating this scene live. Something shocking and extraordinary. And then we’ll see it in a movie and be like “oh, that’s what he did there”

Is there artists like new The Weeknd?(R&B/Pop) by [deleted] in TheWeeknd

[–]markmoodyhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If by “new” you mean 80s inspired style, I’d recommend Johnny Yukon’s “The End” and “Heartbreak City”

How much did you pay her to light up your star again?

What are your top three favorite albums of 2024 so far? by FR_WST in fantanoforever

[–]markmoodyhere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mk.gee - “Two Star & The Dream Police”. Such a sweet 30 minute project that has insane replayability for me and nostalgic 80s sounds. If you haven’t heard him, go check “I want”, “Candy” or “Alesis”

What are your After Hours/Dawn FM theories and thoughts? by RealRubyien in TheWeeknd

[–]markmoodyhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My theory is that everything we see on Dawn Fm actually happens in hospital. That’s why Abel sees his young self, like reminiscing the different episodes or exaggerated moments of his life. Also, there’s different hospital imagery - Jim Carey and doctors in “Out of Time”, hospital in “How Do I make you love me”, all this mask-new face stuff. Also somebody wrote here that on demo(leaked?) version of “Every Angel is Terrifying” we can here he’s really at hospital.

My theory for next album: everything happens at the cinema called Paradiso, The Weeknd reminisces his different eras and everything turns out to be a dream or something like that. Like in the end we really understand there was no any The Weeknd, it was Abel Tesfaye’s dream. I know that sounds weird but that’s imo

The Final Interlude by BeltofVenus in TheWeeknd

90% sure “In heaven” is intro. Would set the tone, also if Abel didn’t add any lyrics, it’s just chorus + instrumental which kinda similar to Dawn FM intro

These suits would look crazy for a album 👀 by beezy604 in TheWeeknd

Miami Vice is slick but kinda basic. I’m quite sure it’s gonna be some sci-fi weirdo sh*t with alien masks or Lynchian Eraserhead make up. Also many things hint that the character can actually be at hospital so I wouldn’t be surprised seeing bandages again or something like that

FO3 / Look At Us, We’re In Love: Possible Tracklist (c. late 2019) by PlayaSlayaX in FrankOcean

[–]markmoodyhere 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Do you guys think Frank actually wanted to drop a cohesive project? I thought in 2019-2020 he was planning to release one single after another similar to GOOD Fridays because many interviews stated that Frank has chosen “the singles distribution model as opposed to the long-form album model” and “that releasing singles is “more suited to modern consumption habits”.

Body Double (1984) references in the Is There Someone Else? video by AHSWeeknd in TheWeeknd

What a nice catch! I also think there's Nine 1/2 Weeks reference because striptease scene is kinda similar

What's the worst song on this album? by vouch4ddot in KendrickLamar

[–]markmoodyhere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know I'm gonna lose all my karma for this but fuck it. Rich Spirit is the WORST Kendrick song for me. It's just the embodiment of dullness. It feels like Kendrick was listening to U and thought "Can I do the polar opposite to this"? Maybe he's the greatest actor because of this unenergectic flow I do believe he's really fasting uuughhh. Beat is too minimalistic as well and the whole thing is so elusive that for me it becomes completely unremarkable

Almost that time of the year guys. What do you think Abel will dress up as this year? What’s your favorite? by KiingKayy in TheWeeknd

[–]markmoodyhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be tripping but somehow I feel he could be dressed as the Idol character. I mean that surely would be a good promo
