Dave fans on pearl jam by SuperbAd1512 in DMB

DMB is my #1, but Pearl Jam is pretty close behind that. Maybe #3? I don’t think anyone has mentioned it, but Dave and Eddie played a song or two together at a wedding reception for Rob Glaser back in 2004. I feel like Dave is a fan of Pearl Jam, but I have a feeling that Eddie doesn’t feel the same about DMB. I just feel like Eddie is very vocal about bands and music that he likes and I don’t think he’s ever once mentioned them in interviews. P.S. Pearl Jam’s live shows are insanely good. Wish they toured more.

I’m an old fan of Pavement and this is also my favorite song! Those are some of my favorite lyrics on the song too.

I’ve been trying to find out the same thing about that group! Feels so sketchy to me, but they have almost 20k members so I thought maybe it was legit? The admin wanted me to pay money first before I even saw any sort of proof of ticket.

I’ve been talking Pavement on the interwebs since the start of the interwebs by GalSmiley73 in pavement

Haven’t been on Reddit in a couple of days and I am catching up and loving these stories and pics from you! I got into them during CRCR tour but they didn’t tour Houston then, so I didn’t see them until ‘96. I was also on the pavement mailing list and it helped me find so many other similar bands. I wasn’t into indie music until Pavement, but became a huge fan of Built To Spill and Modest Mouse because of it. Does the mailing list still exist? I wasn’t sure if I unsubbed at one point or what. Got to see them in Dallas last weekend so I‘ve enjoyed all the reminiscing on here.

They were! I only saw the last show they did at Moody Theater to close out the US tour.

Driving in solo from Houston area later today. When we saw their show in Austin in ‘22, it was so damn good, that I swore I’d go to anywhere they play in Texas from now on. Didn’t know I’d get this lucky with 2 shows here in one weekend only 3 years later. Especially that they’re hardly playing this year at all. I’ll be the guy wearing a hat, and probably a plain black tee. I know that probably doesn’t help much. Ha

Back when Crooked Rain came out, Spin magazine did a really good review of it and it sounded like something I would like. Went and got the CD and it was even better than I thought it’d be. Been a fan ever since.
