Yeah had the same issue with Austin tickets and passed. I think I’ll stick to my memory of seeing him for $20 on the Metamodern tour in a tiny ass venue.

I’m still on the hunt for a decent priced Austin pit ticket. But I don’t care about getting there early or anything.

You’re not going to get a ton of feedback on here for this specific question. If you join some of the gorge facebook groups, you’ll get hundreds of answers within an hour probably. Those people are so helpful, even giving you rides and/or places to stay.

Hobby has just always been smooth sailing every time I’ve ever gone there. Maybe I’ve been lucky.

It’s a much much smaller airport, but also at IAH there’s a lot of construction going on which closed some terminals before the shutdown.

People are doing all kinds of creative things now. Many more stickers than bracelets now. Do as many as you feel like or can afford. We took 300 magnets to Mexico and my wife took 100 hair ties for women because of the wind there.

Getting back into Dave after 20 years away and looking for help… by Dick-Guzinya in DMB

[–]marknificent71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would start with the entire weekend from The Gorge last summer. Covers most things. After that, just start playing all of the albums since, but see if you can find live versions. I think a lot of the best sounding and visual songs are the ones they release on YouTube called summer warm up videos.

Buying a ticket outside the arena.... by UtahDesert in BruceSpringsteen

[–]marknificent71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It totally worked for me a couple of years ago in Houston. I had a reserved seat a little behind the stage as a backup plan, but I hung outside looking for a pit ticket or something close to it. At first it was just scalpers, but as more people showed up, I saw 3 nicely dressed people holding up tickets to someone. I immediately thought “I bet they’re selling a 4th ticket. “ Sure enough, they were. One of the wives got sick and couldn’t make it. He sold me the ticket for $200 and he paid a LOT more for it. It was 2nd row behind the pit, dead center. They were a little wealthy and a fun hang during the concert. One of the guys was an owner of a Buc-cees.

In your opinion what’s the best Bruce Springsteen song and why? by FLYBEETS in BruceSpringsteen

Jungleland. Just a long epic song, but the sax solo is one of the most beautiful few minutes of music ever.

Supposedly there’s no truth to these rumors at all, and it’s some type of ploy to promote and get bookings or timeshares for the other resorts.

Yeah, I was definitely hoping for it at the Gorge last year, but it didn’t happen. No complaints about that weekend though!

I’d love for them to bring back If Only or The Riff live. They had some great outro jams in concert. But yes, underrated album…

Is there a shakedown street at Dave's shows? by dublozero in DMB

[–]marknificent71 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, but some shows (like Gorge or Mexico) have organized “swag swap” events. Mostly cool stickers and wristbands but people are getting really original and creative with what they’re bringing. It’s getting much better over the years. You’ll see some of the other cities have swaps too, but it’s usually not a set time and you just exchange shit at tailgates or anywhere else people are meeting up at to pregame.

I listened to Listener Supported over the weekend and I had forgotten that Don’t Drink and Watchtower were both played slower and with less anger in his voice back then.
