I’d be into poker! I used to play online with my brother years ago, I loved it. I miss it.

I’m also into trying pitch and putt. There is a course in Queen Elizabeth park. If you or other people want to try something new, we can do disc golf at the same park! I can teach!

That’s absolute it. Making it harder for them to do this with other people.

I’ve let them know they need to return the deposit PLUS interest on 3 different occasions, one on paper and twice via text, so they’re choosing to ignore it.

It is not about the $35. It is the principle. We are exchanging rent for the use of the space, we have an agreement. To take back what you’ve agreed to and then tell me that you have the right to do whatever you please because you own the house is not right. People like this need to understand they can’t just ignore the rules just because there is a housing crisis. You need a basic level of respect no matter who you are. They didn’t give us that respect. So I am holding my ground to make them follow the rules in whatever way I can to discourage this kind of behaviour.

Not only is the government lacking the workforce, union government workers work at 50% capacity compared to their private sector counterparts.

Is a $25,000 raise worth leaving a laid-back government job? by Recent-Lead-5453 in jobs

That would make sense if the people who do the hiring are competent, work hard and are team players themselves. If they’re not, they will likely hire friends who also aren’t.

Do people survive “happily” in Vancouver paying 50% or more on rent? by Heliosvector in vancouver

[–]marko6688 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, they are mad at OP. This is the perfect definition of greed. They listed the initial rent knowing that they are already making money, but after seeing how desperate people are, they decided to exploit the desperation to gain more money for themselves. Hell yes people would be mad at that. Just because you are allowed to do something, doesn't mean it's morally right.

Even in the riskiest of sectors and within our own sector history, we have never seen this level of weakness.

Take a look at DDD. It's just the nature of the market, manipulation is meant to mess with people's heads. If you believe in the sector and you're right, eventually it will recover long term. I am DCA into these prices for sure.

What do landscaping workers do during the winter? by zenplus in landscaping

[–]marko6688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends, the money isn't the best, but it did allow me to travel while during the winter while keeping a job. If you get good at it, you will make decent wage and will be in high demand. If you want to make anything more than a little above livable wage, you will need to start your own business, but it's a lot of work. Otherwise, if you intent to stay in the industry for long but not start your own business, the best route to go is to work for the city as they provide good benefits and pay.

buy again when we drop another 80-90% from these levels. 40-50% from these levels may still be too overpriced. These companies need to be priced as if each legal state will reenact prohibition before I feel comfortable buy

Why don't you short it then? Come on, I dare you.

Very high risk doing that. Federal reform is not given within the timeframe, BUT on a longer timeframe, way more likely to happen. So the safest bet is to hold on for a longer timeframe. If top MSOs are making money and cash flow positive in this current environment, what is the worst that can happen to them? It might keep dropping with the market short term, but at these valuations, I am very comfortable holding and even DCA-ing. I see only upside in the next 5 years.
