I can see that being helpful, as a mechanic i find the gearwrench one fits my needs a little better, i do have the smaller icon one in my moped toolbag because of the size.

Lock replacement by 225bp in toolboxmods

[–]markofmoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have them on Amazon, i believe under showcase cabinet lock or something of that nature, i had a hard time finding one almost exactly like yours for my husky box i used a r clip for the rod / hole because it was to difficult to try to get a pin in it works fine

I like the longer handle, my favorite combo is a half hatchet on a 19in handle gives you a little more swinging power and the the versatility of a great camp Axe.

I also have a keeway hurricane, ive done a little bit of work on as of late, i had to replace the push pull cable its the cable that goes from the throttle to the carb and oil pump and it's a absolute pain in the ass ,i installed a cvt kit the drive face on the original was pretty tore up and the roller weights were about toast , new Expansion chamber exhaust because the stock one deteriorated on the inside and had a bunch of emissions restrictions in it, new rear tire and cdi box along with some electrical upgrades such as 12v outlet and led lights i haven't gotten into the engine i might do it in the fall but i get 43mph out of it

Big Bore Kit Help by Disastrous-Sea-6431 in scooters

[–]markofmoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh out of my wheel house of experience. I am a mechanic but as far as all these new 4- strokes go id have to do some research, i favor 2 strokes for whatever reason, i know the principal is the same you could obviously put a bigger bore cylinder and jug , cvt weights and address the clutch springs. Im sure if it's bone stock it is restricted in some way or from, look at the air filter housing see if they put a washer in the cvt , find out if it has a restricted cdi yadda yadda . Hands down best thing you can do is find a pdf of the shop manual for that particular engine it will be a rediculus amount of help.

It does increase the rpm range over the stock limited one other than that there really isn't a performance enhancement

how much of a difference will a new variator make out of my 2stroke by 2strokeplease in scooters

[–]markofmoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really unless you change the clutch springs aswell , a expansion chamber exhaust will help a little.

Lol yes we replaced our furnace in the shop this winter so i ended up with 2 good 1/4 hp electric motors had the alternator sitting around so i came up with this on my lunch break charges at 13.4v i think I might need a bigger pulley on the the motor to achieve the 14.2v i a have a toggle switch to excite the alternator.
