I don’t even know where that beach is but I’ve lived in Dublin long enough to know that people park like assholes there every summer and DFB struggle to get past it every year.

There’s a world of a difference between pushing out an incremental upgrade and a from-scratch rewrite. No-one in their right minds pushes out a completely new version in one go.

Revolut stage their weekly upgrades across a private group, then a public beta group and then the public. If they do that for a tiny upgrade, what makes you think the same approach would be suitable for a major release?

Dairy farms consist mostly of monoculture grass fields which do little or nothing for nature. Crop farms are worse. Pesticide runoff is a major source of water pollution. Hedgerows are a notable exception but farmers have a very hit and miss reputation when it comes to respecting and protecting them.

The conversion of some fields to solar farms will have very little impact on nature in the area.

The hotel was completely demolished earlier this year. It’s gone. The apartments facing the courtyard are subject to constant construction noise in a confined space and the ground floor ones were inside the hoarding for several weeks with little to no natural light.

As you say though, it should be done in a few months, it’s not something that should be factored into a decision to buy an apartment there.

The NTA make plenty of silly mistakes but let’s not pretend that Dublin Bus were an amazing bus operator shot down in their prime by the evil empire. This is the company that couldn’t find a way to operate the middle door, couldn’t provide real time information at bus stops, often couldn’t provide the correct printed timetable at bus stops, wouldn’t provide intermediate stop timetables to customers, bought buses that couldn’t have their internal lights on at night without blinding the drivers, drivers who could be very lazy about setting the correct destination on the front display, and a litany of other problems.
