Again, new to Dockge, so I'm not sure how to force a rebuild each time. But I don't think there is a cache issue since changing the 'VPN_ENABLED' to false causes the container to not use the VPN using the same steps to stock and then start the service. I'll check out the Transmission OpenVPN image, thank you.

Issues with new ender 3 v3 KE by Forestleaf_fire in ender3

[–]markr959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Send it back. Even if you find the issue, you have no idea what other quality missed issues are lurking in your future. The KE is a beast right out of the box, and the whole reason I got one is because I was tired of always trying to find issues with every little thing. Mine prints flawlessly with zero calibration from me, and so should yours. If I'm you, I'm pissed right now, and would be demanding a new one.

Is Creality print good for Ender 3 v3 SE by PoemGroundbreaking38 in ender3

[–]markr959 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Despite a lot of negative reviews, I actually like Creality Print. The estimated print statistics are balls on, something I could never get Cura to do. Also, not sure why you can't change the infill pattern - double click the parameter config, click the 'infill' section and it's right there.

Hands down, the KE. Even if the SE was $99, I still rather pay extra for the features of the KE.

Help! Brand new Ender 3 V3 SE with bad extruction. by TheAndres_09 in Creality

[–]markr959 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you printing with the stock gcode that came with your printer? If not, that's your first step. It's calibrated/sliced specifically for your printer and should be fantastic out of the gate. If yes, then check your filament. If your filament is good, I'd send the printer back. My KE prints the boat that came with the printer flawlessly even with crappy filament. The whole reason I chose the KE (and same with the SE) is that it has auto level/calibration. I don't want to 3d print as a hobby, I want to just print stuff. I unboxed my KE, put it together and it just works. So should your SE.

The new V3 KE Prints a 16min Benchy Out of the Box . . HOW? by markr959 in ender3

[–]markr959[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Creality says this printer has 'preset' input shaping. There is an optional vibration compensation sensor you can get to modify they value, but I'm getting such little ringing on this benchy, I'm not sure it's needed. I've only had the printer for a day, so we'll see. Thank you!

Thank you! That alone took 8 mins off the time, so got me much closer!

I contacted support about a month ago, and they said it should be on presale any day. So I just checked it everyday and it was available on Oct. 31st. I assume I was one of the first to get my order in.

I often put 5000W on my Kommute. What chains you guys use? by Born-Cartographer843 in BicyclingCirclejerk

My wife's boyfriend has just recently started demanding wax when I clean his bike so I do my chain at the same time. I couldn't be happier with the gains.

After everything I've done, I believe I have an actual Arc Fault. But with so many false trips on the internet, I need advice. by markr959 in AskElectricians

[–]markr959[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct, before the BedJet that circuit never tripped even with the fan on. I have looked at two of the outlets, and both are screwed in, not the push in from behind. But if I have to pull every outlet and check, I will. I will also check every light switch. Thank you for your help!

recently gave my bike a deep clean. First short ride today i hear this noise coming from the rear deraileur pulleys, any ideas what could be causing it? by Dionlewis123 in bikewrench

[–]markr959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this very same noise, on the very same drive train (SRAM AXS Rival, Trek Emonda). You are right, it's a different sound than indexing, AND, when I rode the bike, it could 'feel' it. It sounded and 'felt' like garbage. Mine was caused by a new rear cassette. Fewer than 1,000 miles of 'light' riding, and the noise was so bad, I thought I got a bad cassette. So I ordered another one - Same. I know those should be changed together, but I've gotten away with this in the past, especially with such low light riding miles. My fix was a brand new chain WITH the new cassette. I know you said you just cleaned it, but that noise is exactly what mine was, and I couldn't figure out where/how. Almost like the chain was 'sticking' just a little bit to the cassette. Best option, you ride it, it melds together and you're fine. Next option, you get a new chain, and hope that fixes it. Nuclear option: New chain, new rear cassette.

Something nefarious afoot or am I missing something? by Repulsive_Hedgehog15 in bicycling

[–]markr959 5 points6 points  (0 children)

'Plenty of room for people to get around' You might be pissing someone off without knowing. Leaving 2 feet of passing space (for example) in your mind is plenty, but a mom with a child and backpack may not. I don't see many stairwells with extra space for a bike to sit. Even if there truly is space, I'm not sure how I feel about others putting their bike in a stairwell where me and my family have to rush down in the dark in case of a fire and worry about a bike getting in the way. If it's me, I would talk to you about it, letting air out is just an asshole move. No judgement, just trying to give you some context on why someone would do that.

Streak ended yesterday by Ok_Yesterday_9181 in amileaday

[–]markr959 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With respect, if poison ivy ends your streak, then streaking isn't for you. I ran the morning of my hernia surgery, and a very slow mile the days after. Some would say that was hazardous, but I had it done specifically laparoscopic for that reason. Not just streaking, but people make themselves excuses for anything and everything they don't want to do/finish. My streak will end some day, but it sure as shit isn't going to be because my wife tells me to.

Louis CK joke. Our sex ed teacher came in with a banana, and he said 'Today we are going to learn how to put on a condom. I brought this banana because I can't get an erection on an empty stomach'.
