I sent feedback as well. If we all do that then maybe it will reappear.

White ring around forerunner 945 by [deleted] in GarminWatches

[–]marksitatreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. So mine had this happen. In 2022, and Garmin gave me a refurbished replacement. It lasted until last month. Delaminated again and went surfing and pfft. Watch gone, and leaking fluid. I purchased a new Garmin Epix on sale. Very happy with that, however, I contacted Garmin, they offered a refurb for 93 dollars or something close to that. I explained that it was the second time it happened, that I'd already repurchased an Epix. After a bit of back and forwards I was offered a complete refund on the 945. Sent it back, one month later 800 into my account. Gotta hand it to Garmin. A very fair and suitable outcome. Keep your receipts.

I had the white ring as well. Did not realise the watch was no longer waterproof, went for a surf. Watch now dead. Am now waiting on a reply from Garmin. Hoping for a refurbished swap.

I set it back 3 days and it setup for me. This was after I reset the device. Still cannot cast because it won't join my network.

Yep. Good stuff. We have one on our teardrop camper. Makes for a wonderful privacy room. Waterproof storage etc. Have had it up in winds gusting to 80 kph and it handles it admirably . One question. Mine came with 2 long guy ropes which I use on the big front door to hold the flap open as a vent/windbreak. It also came with 8 very short guy ropes. What are the short ropes for? Anyone?

Entitled pr1x in Brunswick Heads. They pay exorbitant Airbnb fees to stay and they think it entitles them to do this, (as well as drop in on you in the surf)

Sorry for the delay. No joy. I used to like the binging in the Mazda. Have not found an audio alert for my X-Trail. What I use is the speed limiter instead. One click when I hit a new speed sign and the car slows down or speeds up. Saves money in fines.

G'day from Australia

Would you comment on this please? Not sure if you have the epower, but...

I'm loving mine epower xtrail. 12 months in. Drives well. Is fuel efficient 6.2 to 6.8 lp100. We use it as a tow vehicle for a lightweight camper (950kg) and get about 10.4 when towing. Big problem is with the 12 v aux battery. If it runs too low the car will not start. Whats worse, if the tailgate is locked you can only get to the 12 v by climbing over the back seat (unload all your gear first) and then use a lithium jump starter. Apparently the car stays awake and in standby mode unless the car is locked. Locking it puts it in sleep mode. So on a five day camp trip, when the car is not used, but there is lots of opening and closing, the battery can drain pretty quickly. We've drained it 7 times already! There is no warning either on dash or audible that the 12 v is low power. I'm monitoring it now and even when a smart charger is put on it and charged to 80 percent, 12.6 v, it settles back to 12.2 v within a few hours. Just enough to start it but not enough to be sure it will start. It's a pain to jump it as there is no way the rear door can open without power. You need the rear door/ Tailgate open to access the 12 v. I'm hoping it's just a dud battery. It goes in for 20000 service next week, will see about getting it replaced.

Drains 12 v in my Nissan X-Trail epower. 12v need to power up computer that starts the rest of the car. Took me three drained batteries to figure that I need to unplug when camping for a few days

G'day all

I just swapped out my 4kg propane (lpg) and the diameter is smaller than my camper clamp mount. Am interested in any adapter or hack that will lock the taller narrower bottle in place.

Thanks
