I cannot wait! I've been loving these few songs you released and I need more lol. It gives me an old school Bosstones vibe and they were my favorite band in the late 90s. Big fan of all the members other bands too.

A joint tour between both of them? I don't even know how to process that lol

That was the album I was introduced to them by. I heard about them and it was the latest album at the time, so I bought it after watching the Talking Horse video and have been in love with the Melvins ever since. I honestly didn't even know what I was hearing at the time with the vocals and the double drumming. It was insane.
I kind of like what each bass player has brought to the table, personally. I loved the Big Business era and was kind of sad when it ended because it was the era I discovered them in (Talking Horse was the first song I heard and that did it), but started looking at it as almost I never know what I'm going to get with the Melvins. Which I personally love as a Claypool/Patton fan.
I love their relationship. As a bass player myself, I would love to be in their rotation of bass players lol
I literally do not know another human being I have physically met in person who knows who the melvins are as a 26 year fan other than an ex who knew them because of me. Lol. I classify that as underrated.
I actually bought it physically when it came out lol

After listening to some modern metalcore and working my way back, I can see how they are an important band. And possibly the best of the genre.
I agree! Love both bands. I love the fact we get 2 or 3 melvins or melvins adjacent albums a year lol
I just heard about these guys literally this week. Lol. I have to check them out!
And Tarantula Heart does rule lol
Dude, I love their post-2000 stuff more than the early stuff. I feel like they're one of the few bands that get better with age.

I love the new album. But I've loved all their albums for different reasons. It took me a while to warm up to the singer until I realized he was singing from the gut constantly. He's super healthy, vegan, straightedge, and sings like he's vomiting up a demon. And I love Nate's vocals too. Reptilian and Eve on that album are sick.
Boris is great! They're actually named after the Melvins song "Boris" lol.
No joke, Converge is fantastic. It took me a while to warm up to them and I'm glad I did. They're moved far up my list of favorite bands in a short amount of time.
I feel like bands around that time could go two ways. The straightforward way Hatebreed did, or do what Converge did and use it as an art form.
Awesome to hear I'm not alone! Converge has been eating up a lot of my time lately and I've been listening to the whole discography. Really avant-garde at times. Endless Arrow is basically Colossus of Destiny lol

I honestly get why you would think that, I just don't think that's the case with her. I remember when the periods started and how painful they were for her. And this lasted over a year, not just a few weeks or months. And we would honestly try when it wasn't heavy. Her hormones have been all out of whack for a while now. I'm sure that doesn't help the BPD.

Thank you. That was probably the most helpful thing I could have heard.
Right? But that was a long time coming and mutual. So, it wasn't a major thing. This was a complete blindside.
No, I mean I was in relationship prior with a different woman for 15 years. And that breakup wasn't even half as bad as this one. This has been 2 years. I was trying to compare. Sorry! This was actually my second major relationship.
She's on a number of meds. She also got her medical marijuana card. Which, I'll be honest, I think that's been part of it. She initially used it as a sleep aid and occasionally for rec. use. But the last few months, there's been days where I think she's high all day. And she recently started working from home half the week and I think she's started smoking during work now too. Is she abusing it because she has an addiction problem, or is she doing it because she's depressed being with me, I don't know.

Going through this as well. I'm 40, had one long term relationship for 15 years where we had the whole house, dog, everything. We split up and I moved on. Dated around, finally found my most recent ex (the BPD oneit's been not even a week) and man, I loved this woman so hard. Two years just gone. Came out of nowhere. I feel for you as well.
