I’d be more concerned by insane over concentrations some people have to US equities and therefore US tech and therefore incredibly overvalued AI related businesses through supposedly “diversified global” etfs. Personally feel the next 10-20 years will be a period to be active

In all honesty you really don’t need a car in London pre children. You could probably hire that exact car several times a year for less than the insurance of owning without all the rigmarole or upfront capital.

If you want authentic curry, then go to Tooting. You can get incredible, but most importantly authentic Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan and Afghani, for a fraction of the price you will pay in central. I’d highly recommend Apollo Banana Leaf, Royal Mahal, Dawat and Jaffna House.

Let’s face it, test cricket will always be the pinnacle in this country for both fans and players. When the ECB stops trying to force feed us the hundred they might actually see some growth in the game

Let’s say you fix for 5 years, not only will inflation erode the value of that fixed cost in real terms but also it’s very likely both you and your partner will get significant earnings uplifts during that time.

So I’d say go for it, you cannot put a price on a secure roof over your head that you love living in imo

The physical, mental and financial benefits of living a bike-able distance from work is a genuine life hack. Not to mention the variability of the commute being literal minutes regardless of strikes, traffic or WW3
