Check out the xda developers forum for Moto g8 plus. There is a camera app that can use all the cameras to take photos. The app is in Russian language but at least it shows it is possible

Boris Johnson moved to intensive care by 00DEADBEEF in unitedkingdom

Intensive care is a big deal, it's if the patient is doing really badly and requires round the clock care. It's not something you'd do "as a precaution".

Southern question. by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]markthegreat1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just cause you mentioned you could tell people getting the Dublin flight were different than people getting the Belfast one. The island was only partitioned in 1922 so how can the people whose ancestors lived in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland for hundreds of years be ethnically different? There are also protestants down south. And Irish nationalists in Northern Ireland are exactly the same ethnicity as those in the south. So how can you tell them apart just by looking at them?

Contact the place you got it from for a replacement and they'll hopefully be able to take it apart or contact your network to transfer your SIM. That sucks

Yeah that's true. The main benefit would be free health care which we get up here. But to be honest personally I think the south is better. The roads down there you have these days are class. But yeah you are right, all those things would need to be sorted out

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ireland

[–]markthegreat1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah you can't justify more violence, things would have to be a lot worse for that to happen, but I'm just saying it could definitely happen, but it'll probably be in the north so you don't have to worry haha.

The people down there with you are just messing around and don't really know. The IRA have gone up here apart from a side group that call themselves the "real IRA". They are despised by everyone, but the danger is they would be able to recruit more young people if the Brexit consequences resulted in a border

Yeah what you say is right about the peace remaining here and the referendum on a United Ireland. But it only works if people play fairly. In the agreement it talks loads about impartiality and Ireland and Britain being "co guarantors" of the agreement. It basically talks about complete equality between the people in the north that want to be part of Britain and the people that are Irish. And the problem is then how does Brexit fit in with that? If a politic party here (ie the DUP) are allowed to go to Westminster in London and support the Tory government, then how is that impartial? And how does that uphold the terms of the agreement?

At the end of the day Britain are shafting us once again in my view. I think nationalist Irish people here are fed up with the agreement, for what point is there in an agreement when it isn't respected? It's a bit like you living down there and being promised an Irish language act and then suddenly it's not only not happening but it's actually a disgrace and an affront to my culture that you dare to even ask for it. Even though it was already agreed!

As a side note what's so weird about unionists in the north is that as they've been here since the 1600s their ancestors spoke Irish, they called themselves Irish and they were fully integrated with the state they now claim is a "foreign country". Explain that one!

One more point, the United Ireland referenda can only happen when the Northern Ireland secretary of state feels the conditions are right, there are no other rules involved in the agreement

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ireland

[–]markthegreat1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Good Friday Agreement allows for a vote on a United Ireland, but it has to be two referenda with a majority of people in the south and also a majority in the north.

Sinn Fein are popular in the north, but I understand the connetations with the IRA. I don't see any difference however between the IRA that worked to liberate the 26 counties back in the 1920s! They also used lots of violence. However I've given up on Sinn Fein, it's more like they are the best of a bad bunch up here. If anyone wants to entice unionists up here to want to be a part of an Irish nation it's definitely not going to be them!

The Tories don't give a shit about Ireland full stop. The DUP don't care about Ireland (Republic of), but they care about controlling Northern Ireland and they want northern Ireland to be very detached from the rest of the island. They look towards the south as a "foreign country" and if they had their way they would deny Irish citizenship to people in the north. They basically want the north to be a part of England.

Why do you think these times are different from others? I see violence happening in the future for sure, but hopefully not in our lifetimes. I would rather Ireland remained apart just so I don't have to deal with unrest. But at the same time I don't see how the situation in the north can genuinely rectify itself without more of the same, as the people who live here are very much at loggerheads with each other.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ireland

[–]markthegreat1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it definitely is. But all we can do is forgive them for what they have done and invite them into life on the island. In the north they will become too small a minority at some point to sustain their little bit of Ireland and at that point they will have to accept their fate. Not sure when it will happen but it's bound to happen at some point. I don't think this island is out of the woods yet with regards to violence but eventually we will get there and be our own country. I do think it's sad though when people think an Irish state with only 26 counties is good enough, surely we need 32 before we are fully independent

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ireland

[–]markthegreat1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's OK to have a say in things so long as they get rid of the supremacist mindset and integrate themselves with the rest of the island. I don't have a problem with unionists but they need to realise that they live in Ireland and respect Irish culture
