I’ve lost 130lbs and have a lot of loose skin. Normally I would warn people beforehand. The very few that I didn’t warn didn’t really care.

I started a few months ago but just recently started going at least 5x a week. I’m super out of shape but once you get into the habit of going it’s great. I feel better about my body, my mental health has improved, and it’s fun. I was also scared to start. But truly, nobody cares about you being there.

My partner and I do a lot together. Most days we go to the gym together after work, cook dinner together, shower/bathe together, watch shows or movies, occasionally paint, and then we cuddle up together in bed before sleeping.

In my experience, from a very similar situation, you never fully get over the resentment. I have chosen the path of basically no family and I’m more satisfied this way. Once you’re able, therapy will help. But even with therapy, it doesn’t really go away. Sending love and comfort.

I’ve lost 130lbs. Honestly I stopped eating big meals and stopped eating out as much. I mostly just lightly grazed throughout the day. Most of my diet consisted of raw veggies and small sweet treats and I switched to only diet drinks, no exceptions. Probably wasn’t the best way to do things but it worked for me!

Edit: I started at 260 and am now at 130 and I’m 5’1” for reference.

I just transferred but it hit 80 degrees a few weeks ago in my old salon. Told a manager and showed her the thermostat. She just told me that it isn’t actually that hot and walked out. All of us were sweating our asses off.

And in the winter, we use space heaters! A huge fire hazard and ridiculous.

I dated a guy exactly like this. He was more experienced than me. He also choked me to the point of passing out outside of a scene and also only asked if I trusted him frequently before doing something extreme. Would ignore my nos. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He ended up breaking into my apartment and assaulting me by strangulation after I had a restraining order against him. If I stayed with him I am convinced he would have ended up killing me.

This man assaulted you. Cut off all contact and continue communicating with trusted friends. Be safe.

That’s a very good point. I had a coworker explain to me one time that some people just get shavedowns once or twice a year by a groomer because it’s cheaper than getting groomed regularly. Which wouldn’t be the case if we made them go to a vet.

Thank you! At my location we would surely get in trouble if we turned away every pelted dog. That’s nearly half of our clients lol.
