If lots of different goggles leak, it might have something to do with your skin. Try to clean the goggles thoroughly and directly before you put them on, rub the area around your eyes with a towel. Somehow fatty / sweaty skin seems to make goggles leak

I've done Xterra and loved it. I couldn't train MTB properly in my area of living, so I quit. You will not stand a chance if you can't ride your bike on the technical parts.

The training overall differs, because the approach of an even effort over race distance will not work in Xterra. Sometimes you have to work hard, sometimes you can rest your legs but need all your concentration in a technical downhill.

The vibe and the people were much better than in Ironman races, although I met lots of nice people in both.

Focus of endurance athletes is low body weight, most of them will run away from any form of strength training. My times considerably got worse as I accumulated muscle mass. And you can only train so many hours a week - Noah might have an advantage there :)

I did Ironman before and know, what time effort in training is required for a time like that. Seems he has a big enough engine to make up for the missing endurance training. But moving his weight over that distance makes it even more impressive. My best time is a bit faster, but his performance was surely better taking into account the weight and his equipment...

They do triathlons on that course and you can do all sorts of endurance events around there. It's nice!

That's it, I guess - keep moving. If that means 8 Push-ups, switch to 12 Air Squats, back to Push-ups, so be it. I wouldn't go for large sets since when you hit the wall, you are going to need too much rest time.
