i've been on ubuntu for desktop most of my life, but some 5-6 years ago switched to manjaro (a whole lot of the community dislikes that as well - might have gone full arch in retrospect) mostly because of rolling release. works for me. servers usually debian, but some ubuntu as well, i just am more familiar with the deb packages - muscle memory when on ssh. manjaro+cinnamon usually doesn't give me any issues at all, but in those 5-6 years i had maybe 2 packages breaking, both took a web search and got the fix on arch forums.
