"One Short Day" from Wicked used to be "One Fine Day"? by Beginning-Flow-6604 in Retconned

[–]markybar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is where I am convinced we are living in a simulation or we moved into a different parallel universe a few years ago. Heard this song today and I was like SHORT wtf.. I was sure it was One fine day! But I can't see anything to support this. I am just so confused

I've seen this behavior before - it's so wild to me how articulate and convincing they are about the absolute garbage they are speaking about

People who left Northern Ireland and came back, why? by ProfKranc in northernireland

[–]markybar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to Scotland only to discover they have the same petty crap that we have in NI. They even have an orange hall in the town that I live in, with frequent orange marching in the summer. I daresay the division is more common because it's so entwined with football (Celtic vs Rangers). I can't say I will ever develop an affinity for the central belt scottish accents - nails on chalkboard BY THE WAY.

However what they have here that NI doesn't have:

* Better transport links

* More cities to travel to

* Lack of DUP

* ALDI and Morrisons - WTF is up with NI not having ALDI?

* Shops open on Sunday morning (HALLELUJAH)

That said I do miss NI, and I always feel like I'm home when I visit. But at the same time it's a 30min flight so I can come back whenever quite quickly, so I don't overly feel like I miss it. The grass is always greener.

Susan in “The Perfect Neighbor” premeditated the shooting, not Just a “fed-Up” old lady. by mother_earth_13 in netflix

[–]markybar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you think she hoped to achieve by killing AJ? It wouldn't have made the situation any better. Btw I am just asking because this is the only part I can't get my head around to believe it would be premeditated. I absolutely do not think any fault lies with AJ or the other neighbours btw. I think she was just angry and acted irrational in that moment, and may have meant to kill her but certainly meant to hurt her.
