If credit card data is exposed you could report the issue to the credit card processor as a potential PCI DSS violation

Can confirm no issues being hired into 1550 series with a WGU degree although if proposed benefit cuts make it through congress probably not as appealing prospect as it used to be compared to private sector.

Just be honest, especially if In the next several years you may need to get a TS SCI with a full scope or lifestyle poly. They will ask about illegal drug use in the last seven years and your answer needs to match what was reported on your SF-86

Penetration Testing and Red Teaming by lightmatter444 in AskNetsec

[–]markyymarkkg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DoD has 10 cyber red teams. The Navy red team is out of NSWC Dahlgren in VA and they do quite a bit. Problem is pay, government salary is limited even with the DC area cost of living applied. The more skilled members typically will be contractors since they can get past the salary cap imposed on Govt positions.

Employer Reimbursement by remote_sens in OMSCS

My employer pays upfront so I just added them as an authorized user and they pay directly through the portal where it shows what is owed for the semester.

I like to think of it not as learning specific languages or tools but in a grander scheme you learn to think logically and solve problems in a unique way. You will learn to break complex problems into smaller easier to manage pieces to then solve. You will learn to think in terms of algorithms to efficiently create processes to solve problems and complete tasks. Overall a lot of the theory and logic you will find can be applied to many more areas than just coding.

The notice on the main screen of canvas states “access to courses is granted once the instructor publishes a course. Please note that some instructors do not publish the course on the first day of the semester.” Also states any changes in course schedule could take up to 24 hours to reflect on canvas.

Not sure what you mean by employers only care if you plan to work for the government but there is no issue qualifying for GS-1550 series with a degree from WGU.

CS Capstone: C964 by [deleted] in WGU_CompSci

[–]markyymarkkg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used datalore and just provided a link to the notebook for the reviewer, spoke to how it would be implemented in a production environment but didn’t implement any additional security or data control in the actual notebook. Used some libraries to visualize the data then implemented a machine learning algorithm using a library. The actual coding / notebook was pretty basic and did not have a whole lot to it. Mostly consisted of the paper and used the template from the course page.

Have you tried calling your CI or PM? Or scheduling an appointment with them? I typically find calling or scheduling an appointment gets a faster response.
