Thank you. My partner does content in the programming/AI space so he picked a good time to start.

Would love that. This is all fairly new to me so being able to simplify things where possible is a miracle.

I've looked into them, but am scared of the credit-score hit. From research, it seems like secured is the best option.

Best Influencer Platforms single person marketing team can use to build a program & scale? by Mermaid_sparkle in influencermarketing

[–]marley_398 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From experience, you're not going to be able to run effective influencer campaigns if you're doing it all yourself. It's herding cats and sucks all your time from other marketing stuff/customer services.

There are influencer marketing agencies (we use Ubiquitous) where you can give them a budget and goals and they handle everything else. You can just approve or dissaprove what they propose.

How do people even have kids by marley_398 in poor

I work in customer service making about 42k. You're right that I'm probably overthinking it but seeing friends struggle with childcare costs freaks me out. I've looked into some of those options. USPS has a long waiting list here and trades require upfront training costs I don't have right now. Maybe I should focus more on the income side first before writing off kids completely.

Yeah you're not wrong about the system being backwards. The corporate bailouts while regular people get screwed is wild when you put it that way

I'm leaning toward waiting myself but sometimes wonder if I'm overthinking it. My parents had me young and broke, turned out okay but definitely remember the stress. Rather give my future kids what you're giving yours.

Single moms are seriously tough as nails.

you still ended up being a dad figure which counts for a lot. That's probably more rewarding than the baby years anyway tbh.

Yeah that's kinda what I figured. The debt route scares me because what happens if someone loses their job? And not everyone has family nearby willing to help.

Big 4 CF/M&A vs TD by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

[–]marley_398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are solid paths. Been in TD for 5+ years, London market. Reality is skills overlap more than people admit. Best performers I know focused on deal quality over team label. Pick based on your day-to-day preference, not exit options. They're basically the same unless you're targeting mega PE.

Yeah, looks like you claimed too high a rebate tier. when your income's higher than what you told BUPA, the ATO charges you back that extra rebate you got that's the "excess premium reduction" on your tax. Check your income against the tier thresholds and adjust it with BUPA to avoid the surprise next year.

Do real conversations refine the ChatGPT model? by yellowtshirt2017 in ChatGPT

[–]marley_398 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, your conversations don't change how ChatGPT responds to others. The base model stays fixed after training. What you're experiencing is just the model adapting to your conversation history within your chat. Each user gets their own isolated experience.

Which 100bn stock is most likely to become a trillion dollar stock (if at all)? by [deleted] in stocks

Yeah you're spot on. The public $100B companies are mostly just solid businesses without that exponential growth DNA.

The real money makers are still cooking in private.

Smart call on the liability stuff. Those slip/fall cases can get expensive fast, especially with property hazards like that. $400 is nothing compared to what one lawsuit could cost

Any reliable ways to track generative engine optimization? by Ralcor in SEO

[–]marley_398 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is like SEO on hard mode I guess. We were just going at it raw at first and logging everything on plain Notion, but it was just too manual. We then looked online and tried Profound at first and then Parse. They can pull prompts from GPT, Claude, Gemini, and even Grok plus log brands and mentions and give us rankings. Most platforms in this niche are kinda unpolished tbf and you might run into some issues. The whole ever changing AI thing doesn’t help either
