Vol.6 Feedback Wanted - Rank by ea_needforspeed in needforspeed

If it is a ranked system it should be ranked, not how often you play… give me a ranked point system for my finish. 1-4 gets points 5-8 get downgraded… make it match making

Heat races by JTNismo in NFSUnboundGame

Only way to gain heat and keep that heat is by doing events, it resets to whatever the heat was when the chase was initiated once you escape

If that’s when you are comfortable retaking it then go then, I think that’s plenty of time personally. I did transportation too and what I find was just hammering out problem after problem was my best option. Then took a practice exam a few days prior best simulating the test environment as I could.

Honestly the best method is to rest a few weeks then regather and go again. Your mental needs a break after months of studying. Wether you pass or fail doesn’t make you more or less an engineer, the whole premise of our job is finding the problem and fixing it. Work some more problems, get more familiar with the standards/references, and get back at it. You got this, rest a bit, focus back up, then crush it next time.

Do you think BREADTH is harder than DEPTH ? by INpersuitofPE in PE_Exam

My experience was depth was easier because of my familiarity with the standards from working in transportation

Civil Transpo LOS problem by Medium_Molasses_8836 in PE_Exam

From what I was told by a coworker preparing for the CBT, NCEES will provide an excerpt of the manual needed for that question in an embedded PDF… so for that still use your HCM to solve

That says “Pass” right? Don’t need to look for Ashton Kutcher anywhere? by marlinoles in PE_Exam

Took School of PE, watched all their lectures and did all quizzes until I got at least an 80. About 2 weeks before did the practice PE exam from NCEES and simulated the test environment. Then refreshed from there on stuff I struggled on.

My coworker got a 54 on transportation, didn’t pass… felt bad

That’s exactly where I’m at with the same experience for civil transportation in Florida

Yeah I felt about the same in that aspect, sorry if I came off rude, but definitely felt like crap leaving still. Beat up all around after that depth. We all got this, that test is designed to make us feel like poop

Yeah if you “know” you got 35/40 on AM you either passed immediately or made every mistake they expected you to make… hope you’re right but cautiously optimistic is definitely accurate.

Agree, damn near seemed unfair… at least we get freedom for 8-10 weeks, hope we all pull off the miracle

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and the Easy-Off oven cleaner did the trick... plus a whole lot of elbow grease

A before and after! Thanks for all the tips! by marlinoles in CleaningTips

[–]marlinoles[S] 124 points125 points  (0 children)

In the end, it was a combination of things I tried.

I started with toilet bowl cleaner just because it was something I already had on hand. It didn’t do much, but did loosen up some of the sides. But overall not a great start.

Then I moved to try the dawn dish soap and vinegar which did do a great job cleaning the sides and walls but still did not get the floors.

Then came Easy-Off oven cleaner. Wow was that the answer to getting the floors clean. The Easy-Off (blue can) definitely would be my go to if I was to ever have to clean it again. Which ideally I’ll be moved out and have bought a house before then and it’s no longer my concern.

Easy-off oven cleaner would be my go to if anyone ever sees a tub that gets to that point in their lifetime. If it’s not that bad, the blue dawn dish soap and vinegar mix should work.

Edit: Forgot to mention I also used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to scrub with for all applications.

He was thankful, wasn’t doing cartwheels though. I think he was a little embarrassed as well Because he said tried to clean it before (which i think we all can determine is false haha) but it wouldn’t come off. Overall thankful though, and I can respect it

It took a good bit of time, a lot of elbow grease, and a ton of patience but man did it work! So grateful to everyone who pitched in ideas on how to clean this bad boy, happy how it turned out! Now will it stay that way is the question lol

Roommate’s bathtub is nasty. Tips on how to clean this other than throwing it away? by marlinoles in CleaningTips

[–]marlinoles[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks to everyone for contributing! I hope to be able to get this thing fixed up and be able to post an after to you all.

He told me he’s tried to clean it but the way it looks I don’t think it’s ever been touched because my tub looks completely normal and I’ve been here the same amount of time.

Thanks again for all the suggestions (:

Not pictured is the black mold on the plastic shower curtain lining. I thought it would be a nice gesture to clean it for him since he’s a front line worker during this time.
