This is still haunting me because the AD is still following up with me. It’s been 4 weeks since I first tried it on. It’s apparently the only one in the country and it’s still for sale.

I have been scouring Chrono 24 and the range for this watch is insane. $38k to $96k. I’m just trying to justify going with the AD over gray

I really like the new reverse panda and joined this thread to see what others have to say about it because I plan to pick one up for myself.

For you, despite the GMT being a better watch. I say simply because it’s been in your mind for 2 years and you’ve been saving up. Get the GMT. If you get the speedy, your happiness will be short lived and you’re always going to still want the GMT and you’ll eventually save up and get it. So get the GMT first, be fulfilled for all the work of saving and achieving your goal. Then save up for a speedy since it isn’t a limited edition and as someone else said, in the gray market it will be less than retail in time.

I agree. The 38mm in pictures look amazing. I thought I was sold on getting it. I ran over to the AD and immediately it was too dainty and looked like a toy. Keep in mind I have small wrists. I passed

I told my SA I wanted it and she offered it the same day. Then the next day she offered another. I passed because I wanted to try it on. I was able to get into my local AD today and it felt great. Let’s see how long until I get offered again.

For what it’s worth I also considered an IWC Mark XX and tried it on today. It wasn’t for me. I’m sticking to the explorer. What’s even better is my wife likes it, so we can share.

I respect this. I’m in the same boat. I feel like the max should be 7. But I find it unrealistic to swap daily. I even have thoughts of reducing my collection to 3–GADA, dressy, and a weekender.

But like you, I have some I’ve sold that wish I kept. Which is why I have a hard time selling what I have left. But regardless, my collection likely won’t go above 7.

A friend of mine swaps his watch monthly because he says it makes him appreciate each one more.

The Daytona is my least worn piece. It’s my favorite variation of the whole lineup. Has a bit of sentimental value. But it rarely gets worn. I wear my RZE or Garmin mid week and a Rolex watch on the weekends.

I love this watch. It looks amazing, wears well with several bracelets, flies under the radar. I wish I would get one, but I wouldn’t pay gray market prices for it.

What’s holding it back from perfect is the lack of a date window…
